New here! Hi and Please help with furniture arrangement?

Hi!

I am new to the boards. We just bought a bungalow in Oak Park, IL, and we are slowly but surely fixing it up.

We are 99% done with the dining room, and now we are onto the living room.

The problem is that I am totally stumped as to how to arrange furniture since there are headers/pass-throughs on each side of the living room, and windows and the front door on the other two walls.

Ideally, we want to keep the couch, but replace all other furniture seen in the pictures. Any ideas on how we could lay out the couch and other furniture to make it look cozy but not crowded, and allow for easy flow of traffic from the front door to the dining room?

The couch is about 85 inches long...Initially I wanted to just replace it, but considering the amount of work the house needs and we have a toddler who is constantly climbing on it, it's not on the list of priorities right now.

Here are some links with pictures:

So where the couch is now, it doesn't fit. It ends up covering part of the frame of the front door.

If I put it parallel with the sunroom, perpendicular to the tv/rightmost stained glass window, well, then you walk right into the couch when you come in the house.

The ONLY solution I can think of is putting the tv on the same wall as the front door, and putting the sofa on the wall with the stained glass windows. It's not ideal, I think, because the tv would not be centered in front of the sofa...would that look odd?

Also, I eventually wanted to put in a fireplace between the stained glass windows (there used to be one, and the previous owners removed it, and closed up the chimney).

Any insight...any help would be soooo appreciated!

Thanks!
