Could someone do me a favor?

Okay here's the deal...about all I can do regarding photo's here is insert an existing photo. I've seen where some people have been able to do an entire 'Sample Board' by piecing paint chips and fabrics together on the computer. Any chance I could get someone to do/try this for me? I have the paint and fabric colors. Any help accomplishing this great feat for me would be a huge help before I order my fabric samples for real.

The colors are BM Baby Turtle (LR walls), Stratton Blue (ceilings), Vanilla Ice Cream (rest of walls) and Providence Olive for kitchen cabinets. Fabrics are Waverly Vignette Toile Black (kitchen drapes), Country House Black (DR drapes) and Country Life Vintage Tea Stain (LR drapes). Bosporous Linen for an accent chair or pillow.

The other version that I am looking at is all of the same colors & fabrics above but using Abingdon Putty instead of Vanilla Ice Cream.

On my monitor I am having a hard time discerning whether or not the medallion background is pale blue or white on the Vignette Toile Black.

At this time I currently have all of these colors (or versions thereof) and Le Petite Ferme curtains in Linen in our current home w/ accents of black and robins egg blue everywhere.

Any help would be so wonderful and if all looks okay (your opinions & suggestions on the combo's would be greatly appreciated) I will go ahead and order fabric samples and create a sample board for real to keep me focused (I've been doing so good that way so far!).

Domino magazine's website has a clip file feature where you can do this yourself. It's easy. Garden Web should have this feature, but alas.

I tweaked the colors a bit this AM:

Ceilings (already have ceilings similar color now):

LR walls (already have LR this color):

Curtains in LR (currently have very similar ones but will need more for next house):

DR and Kitchen wall colors (not done yet - in next house the wall between the DR & Kitchen will be taken down - currently has a swing door & the DR is small but the kitchen is is larger):

Curtains for DR & Kitchen (don't have yet):

OR

Kitchen Cabinets (decided Cromwell Gray looked nicer then prior color chosen):

Accent Fabric to use somewhere on something (one of my absolute favorites!):

Some of you have seen pics of the tiny stone cottage we are moving to. I wanted an elegant relaxing French Country look in greens, blues, cream and taupe as I always decorate in those colors. Not the Americanized version w/ all of the yellow and blue etc.

I have two matching rusted looking iron chandeliers that I've had stored for yrs. & yrs. for the move for the kitchen and DR. Very simple 5 arms each w/ 1 acanthus leaf and 1 large drop crystal on each arm and a similar pendant that looks like an old french birdcage in my current kitchen.

I am hoping to get the sample Abingdon Putty & Cromwell Gray to test in my hall, office and kitchen at current house this wknd.

I'm desperate for curtain suggestions for DR & Kitchen though. It has to somehow coordinate w/ the Le Ferme in Linen since I already have & love them.

Our perspectives are going to be different, I think, but with an eye toward the future ..... First plant: Shorten the big stub on the right (in the pic) and don't let any branches grow from it. You want it to die back to the trunk. Leave it on until the tree begins to grow a collar around the stub, then cut it off just outside the branch collar. This reduces scarring & the wound will heal quickly. The other stub growing between the two main branches toward the top should be reduced now so the bottom of the 'Y' formed by the co-dominant leaders is rounded at the bottom & the 'stub' look is gone. You need to decide how much taller you want the tree to be. Reduce both of the co-dominant leaders to 2 apparent nodes if you don't want the tree much taller, and completely eliminate one of the co-dominant leaders if you want the tree to grow much taller. After that, I wouldn't do any more pruning until next spring. Second tree: Treat the branch growing off to the right as a sacrifice branch - it will come off before it starts to form a collar around the trunk. The future leader of your tree is the little branch just above that sacrifice branch, so when it gets a little harder, use a string to tie it to the trunk so it's growing vertically. Next spring, you'll remove the sacrifice branch and prune the trunk off just above the leader you tied up. Got it? That's just how you were going to do it - wasn't it? ;-) Al

Maybe I could have suggested puting up a sign that says "Mine Field"; I use that term for my ditches where my dog does her duty and I know of no OSHA regulation against that. ttodd: I love your fabric selection. One thing I notice is that when mixing cream/sand with taupe, the taupe may come out looking more pinkish.

Can't wait to see this in action! :-)

Ideefixe ~ You have clearly created a monster! My laundry isn't done but I did get my dishes washed, the kids fed and meatloaf made. I've been at that site all morning and afternoon - thank you so much! What a wonderful resource! After seeing some of my selections together as a sample board I'm not sure if I'm absolutely sold on them. Colors yes, fabrics so-so.

Bellaflora ~ Taupe sure can be hard, huh? This is sort of a test run in this house to nail it down for the next one. Of course there will tweaks and changes once we move but I'd like the bulk of the big stuff to be made.

Don't know if this is what you had in mind, but it's easy to combine photos using powerpoint to create a slide, then saving the slide as a jpg... Just in case you want to do it while you're offline. Here's your combo--

ttodd: I found these toiles while searching for fabric for my kitchen's valance....they are just adorable -- even more so because it's garden theme. I wish I can use them in my own house!

Allison ~ yes it seems to be taking FOREVER (yrs. in planning)! We wanted to be in by now but we've been having a hard time coming up w/ the down payment to purchase both the house and the business together. Together (us, current owner of business/house & the acct.) we thought we'd finally figured out a way to do it by purchasing the business w/ the money we get from selling current house and 'renting' the one we are moving to but then of course the bottom fell out of the market so we're scrambling now. We are praying that we can be in somehow by September for DS1 to begin Kindergarten in that district. We shall see. The current owner is DH's boss and is WONDERFUL to us. Anyway, here are some interior pics of the place:

How nice it is going to be when you get moved in. The long wait will only make it twice as sweet. I hope and pray that soon you will have a resolution to your financial situation and can get moved in before school, but when it's a little warmer. Brrr, it's cold in your area.

**Sujafr - thank you so much! Do you have to use a special program to do that?**

I used Microsoft Office--Powerpoint. It's usually used for slide presentations, but it's a quick easy way to insert a bunch of pictures in one place (on a slide), then you can decide which ones go forward, which behind; stretch, shrink, or rotate them; then group them together and right-click on the slide to save that as a picture (jpg). The quality is diminished somewhat, but a quick look anyway. Happy to help!

I LOVE the combinations you have come up with. They look amazing together.
Now that I've seen more of the interior of your new cottage, I am SUPER excited to see this come together. I swear my next house is going to be a cottage.
