I routinely explain to clients that a kitchen remodel takes between 8-12 weeks, IF they are able to very quickly make decisions, and if everything goes absolutely correctly. I also explain that many times, this is optimistic and that cabinets are damaged in shipping, or are lost, or come in wrong. This is not an occurrance that warrants compensation. It happens, and it's one of the reasons I don't recommend any demolition work begin until all products are on hand in an undamaged condition. Even then, mishaps or miscommunications can occur in the demolition, reconstruction, or cabinet install phase. Life isn't predictible, and unless a delay is caused by deliberate malfeasance or is egregious, it's also considered to be within the scope of possiblity of occurance and isn't compensable. 3-4 weeks isn't an abnormal wait time for correct and undamaged special order or custom items to arrive on a jobsite. I know this process can be frustrating, but don't let this so far minor issue make you crazy. You have a LOT of remodel left if you haven't even gotten your complete cabinets in yet, and if you get hyped up over minor delays, crazy making days are ahead!

Mark took responsibility for his minor mistakes and had a good experience. He ended up feeling good and believing he had made a good decision. He had done a lot of research before deciding to work with VOVO. He is pleased with his new kitchen, in the way a balanced individual is pleased. Notably, he didn't say it was the best business decision he had ever made in his life. He would have sounded overly-excitable and discredited himself if he had said that. Why did Mark have a good experience whereas a client who ordered from VOVO after learning of his success here on this page did not? There are many possibilities. He didn't blame VIVO for things that weren't their fault. He took control of his installation and was able to make adjustments as needed when the unexpected occurred. He maintained a positive relationship with VOVO from start to finish. I believe that I can have a good experience with the company, similar to Mark's.

Not a solution for the OP-this is how I usually do them. Pictured is a 15" frameless. I aim for 15-18", 21 max.I rarely allow a 9" cabinet into a design but have done these at 12" For semi custom brands ordering is a hack, talk with your KD and get detailed drawing and order info. Should be something like- door shipped loose (or deleted and separate door ordered) one standard RO, one tall RO or drawer box (8" high). Method for field install of door depends on door style-options include : 6" tall narrow angle brackets on sides, "L" bracket on top of bottom box, ply attached to door, sometimes can just attach the door to the bottom box-depends. From mid range and up can just be ordered. I disable the soft close on the bottom RO often to cut down on stress when opening and no the bottles don't fall over. We used to do this a little differently so I don't have current photo just rendering but the cut away side helps clarify (have a few installing currently and will get pix once they are loaded).

I ordered Shiloh cabinets in early October and was told the delivery time was running at 15-17 weeks. Has anyone very recently ordered or had Shiloh cabinets installed and can you share when you ordered, how long you were told your order would take and what the actually wait time was? Just wondering if order delivery timeframes are pretty accurate, running longer or shorter than expected in late 2021. Thanks!
