Rinnai 551f

I am looking to purchase a used Rinnai 551f direct vent space heater. I will use this to heat a garage. The fellow I am speaking with is asking $350. I have not been able to find out how old this model is. It looks like it is an earlier version of the 556F which seems to have favorable reviews and is a smaller version of the 1004. Any thoughts on the 551f? Thanks.

    This is obviously a tough call to make. Its impossible for anyone in a forum to tell you to buy that thing or not. It could be the best heater out there but the one you want to buy used could be a POS. Rennai is a top of the line maker of gas heaters but anything you buy used is a gamble.
