If you dilute soap with your Never MT......

about how much water do you use? As I type, hubby has been trying to install a Never MT and we cannot get it to work....it is with a Rohl dispenser, but we think the problem is the thickness of the soap. We have a 56 oz bottle of Dawn Ultra Concentrate. How much water does it take to make any difference? Don't want to put too much.

I use hand soap in mine so my answer may not be relevant to you. I only diluted mine about 15-20% only because I wanted to extend the soap a bit. I didn't have trouble with it full strength in my old soap dispenser, but I didn't have a nevermt.

I've read others here using a 50-50 ratio. I think there's a very recent thread asking about hand vs dish soap in NeverMTs. Many folks listed if they diluted theirs. You might look for that one.

We don't dilute our soap. It did take a large amount of time to get the soap to travel all of the way up to the spout. I think my husband actually sucked on the hose to pull the beginning of the soap to the top on our first time using it. Maybe you are getting an air bubble in your hose?

Holly-kay- When I buy EO online, I buy it from Amazon. I've gotten good deals on multi-packs in the past. Michoumonster- It's the multipurpose household cleaner that I find so useful. It's really versatile--I have one dispenser at each of my kitchen sinks, and I have EO in each dispenser. I use it for both dishes and hands. It smells great. I like the peppermint for the kitchen. I'd also like the lemon, but I have marble counters and I'm paranoid about any citrus cleansers (potential etching). The lavender smells great, too, but I use that in the bathrooms.

I'm afraid I can't answer your question but can tell you what I learned when I ordered one several weeks ago. I called the website to see if their device would be compatible with the Brasstech SD that I have. The following day I received a call back and was told that they were quite confident that it would work with any SD that I had and, if it didn't, I could return it for a full refund, including shipping. There is only one part of this device that needs to be compatible with your SD: the tubing running from your SD down to the bottle of soap you keep under the sink. That tubing must slip tightly over the stiff plastic pipe that descends down into your existing soap bottle. The only other compatibility issue that you'll face is ensuring that the grocery store soap bottle is threaded and sized to accept one of the caps that they send you, through which the tubing from the SD runs. But they send you five or six caps (you store the unused ones on the tubing in case you change brands) so I would doubt that will be a problem either. I was impressed with this product. It's incredibly simple in concept and they're probably making a killing on it. But it does what it says it does. How often have you bought a product that does THAT??? Bob

I specifically bought it from Custom Inserts. I think they're a small company and wanted to help them out & not water down their profits by going through Amazon. Sometimes small companies don't know how to market well. If they just added $7 to the price and gave free shipping, people have a totally different view. As weissman said, it's still under $20. You could make it yourself but wouldn't the time and hassle spent getting the right tube and connector sizes make $20 a good deal? By the way, you should install it after you install everything else. You just replace the small container in your regular soap dispenser with a tube and run it down to your detergent jug.

Hi Carol - I'd like to avoid the bottle if I can The Grohe is a piss poor design. It does not even screw it. It's held in rentention with plastic clips that *rentent* on the inside of the bottle. The Kohler is at least a screw on design... And yes, it's a chore to fill up the bottle. The top fill is too small to dispense soap .... So in order to do the bottle refill, I need to empty out the kitchen sink base, get on my back and remove bottle. The reverse - get on my back, grab the filled bottle and put it back in. I have a deep/deepish sink, so it's a small cavity of space between the sink/cabinet where there bottle sits in between

My husband installed ours 3 1/2 years ago. It took a tremendously LONG time before it worked. We don't dilute our soap NOW but we did try only to find that diluted soap ends up mildewing in the bottle. It works wonders now but I remember having to pump it so many times it reminded me of when he changed my brakes in my car and I had to pump the brake with my feet. I told him that I didn't need exercise equipment, just install a dispenser and brakes and my arms and legs would be firm. (LOL)

From what I recall, aren't you supposed to prime the pump by filling the tube with soap before you attach it to the NeverMT?

Thank you all so much for responding to my question. Unfortunately, hubby gave up....and he is not a quitter. He worked with the thing for at least 90 minutes so I don't really blame him. I won't go into the details, but I think there is a bit of a problem getting the Never MT to work with my Rohl dispenser. I have searched and saw on GW an example of someone who had it work with a Rohl, but we could not get even that modification accomplished.

Anyway, I just wanted to say I appreiciate all the responses.

Not at all sure why yours doesn't work, but could it be because your soap is "ultra concentrate"? I don't currently have a NeverMT, but when I did, I don't recall ever having any problems.
