Do you have a must do list.

I love doing new things and trying new things...I always have a must do list going and I try to make sure that I accomplish things on my list ...sometimes they are as easy as making a particular food, like learning to make my own pasta/ravoli...one time I spent the whole summer learning HTML ...so what are some of the things you feel you must do just for the enjoyment of doing it...personal satisfaction.

A ton of things...in no particular order.

I want to always have a list...have some goal to reach for, whether it's learning, experiencing, seeing, reading or making something.
IMO, when there's nothing to look forward to...then life is over.

We are finally fencing in our corner lot. We've had it opened for the 9 yrs. we've lived here, but the neighbors we used to have are gone and I would feel safer with a fence. Now I'll be able to landscape the backyard and not worry about anything "walking away" like my St. Francis statue did. We've decided to wait till the fence is done to see what is left in the budget for our new backyard. Also getting a new AC system, so budget might be tight. Denise, I'm trying to keep it low maintenance, too. I just can't physically do it anymore. I'm going to let the plants in the front of the house stay there and be happy. No new plants there. I'm going to concentrate all my energy on the backyard, which we see and enjoy. We have a nice fountain in the front, which we are going to move into the back and try to get rid of as much grass as we can. Hoping to do something with pavers, but that might have to wait till next year. Carol, I was exhausted just reading your list!lol Good luck with it. Julie

We have one years back and what we loved most about them is if it is a bright sunny day the center part of the bloom comes out to give you almost separated double but on cloudy days the center stays together with outside portion of the bloom. They are hardy growers. It was one of those years they sold them at Walmart. I have not seen one here since then. If they did my wife would have gotten another and told me I would have to find a place for it no matter how much room they take as they can grow to 6-8 feet tall and about 4 feet wide. They always had a lot of blooms most of the summer.

So many people with issues with parents...sad. I was loved, I had toys and gifts,dresses, dolls, books, sport stuff, games,I lacked for nothing . But as I got older, I think I tried to "recapture" my childhood. As an adult, I loved antique shows, flea markets, garage sales. Any time I saw something we had in our house growing up, I had to buy it. I even bought too many rose bushes and planted them in my garden, trying to re-create my Grandma's rose garden. I now have a linen closet stacked with doilies and tablecloths I'll never use, sets of fancy glasses too fragile to use, things like that. Oh, and on the funny side, my daughter cleaned out my bathroom just yesterday. She found eleven bottles of Listerine. I don't know, I hate the stuff, it burns... I remember buying one bottle because it did everything, whitens teeth, freshens breath, makes gums healthy, strengthens the enamel. I'm just always looking for something to make me happy.

No, I don't. I would think, I was missing something... if something came up and I was on my way to cross something off a list. :)

I am way to impulsive.

Like I could sew the stroller cover for Allison, knit on my socks, knit the dish cloths I promised a friend, plant the rest of my daffodil bulbs (which I REALLY should soon), paint my bathroom, take the border off in my bedroom, take the wallpaper off in my kitchen and dining room, or ride my bike tomorrow.

Just guess, which one I will do. LOL

The other stuff, well, it will get done someday.

Yes..I like to try "new" things just because I want to. I have found a great deal of enjoyment in doing so.
Right now some of my goals are;
*learn more about gardening/cooking with herbs
*do more with photography
*I have a large mosaic project that I need to learn about mosaics for (the idea came before the knowledge..haha)
*tatting..something I have always wanted to learn
and the list could go on...just to enjoy:) I very early on discovered a part of my heart/being..that simply loved to be enlightened / learn new things...not daring, just for enjoyment. I guess I am a life long learner.
P.S. Homemade pasta is on my list also LOL!! Oh...and those white deer that Sue_VA posted...they would be on my list too. Not one of the more obtainable ones right now..but who knows maybe one day.

I just want to get my house finished, and my yard back in shape. I want to have a few waterlilies again, and finally be able to sit back and relax a little bit and just enjoy living here. Since we bought the place, it has been work, work, work...and only until recently have we been able to afford to do the things that have really needed to be done.

No list for me either. I remember when we first got married, one weekend I was sitting in the kitchen with DH and he said "lets make a list of everything we want to do this weekend." I looked at him befuddled and said "lets just do it!" I guess there are list people and people who are not list people. I am not a list person.

Well I wasn't talking about a things you need "must" do...I meant things you want to do just for the heck of it. New things to learn and new avenues to explore...

I like doing crafts. My goal is to make one hand-made item for each room in my house, a framed photo, a quilted pillow, whatever strikes me. I do lots of embroidery and knitting. I embroidered sheets and pillowcases as a wedding gift. I have made many knitted sweaters as gifts.

Most of mine entails seeing the world: Japan and finding my mom's family, Alaska, Scotland, are the big ones. I also want to go back to Italy some day, especially Rome and the southern part of the country, where I've never been.

Alex didn't want to go to Japan, but I guess he was talking about it to another friend of his and his friend wants to go with us. Not sure if I'm taking anyone with me, though.

Going to Hawaii this summer alone...it was on my dream sheet when I was in the Air Force and I'm finally going to see it.

No, I don't have a must do list. My list is more like I would like to do list and if I don't get it done, it will not matter that much. I never wished to travel and still don't. I am content with my life for the most part. Certainly there are things that I wish were better, but those things are not in my hands so I don't dwell on it, just take one day at a time.

I don't have a must do list, but I have a want to do list.

I want to get a lot of family pictures saved onto CDs. (I don't even know how to do that.)

I want to get into my web sites and find a new host site for them, and bring them up to date with all the new browsers that are being used now.

It is just so hard to get started!

Taigen, did you mean you want to go and see them? That would be fantastic! Do it, and you can learn to make Pasta later. The two don't even compare. :)
