Want a Pro Gas Range - But is it worth the cost?

Looking at gas ranges. Need a 30" size. Do not have a large budget. Only about $2000 max, DH wants to only spend $1500 max and I am considering a possible $2500 max which he is NOT happy about.

LUV all of your gourmet kitchens with the expensive gas ranges. LUV the look of stainless without a lot of black on them. Do not like black handles or knobs. Do not really like the big back panels on ranges unless they are a clean stainless back splash panel only. I want a beautiful stove without spending a lot of money - I know I want champaigne on a beer budget.

I was able to find just a couple of models that look "pro" for under $2500. The only thing is that they have only 4 burners and a small oven size of about 4.0 cu feet or less. The other option is to go with a regular upgraded range like a GE Profile or Kitchenaid slide in that has 5 burners and a larger oven size 4.5-5.0 cu feet. The price on these are around $1700 - $2000.

Do I pick the less expensive model with the bigger oven (even though the looks don't totally impress me) or do I go for the eye candy for more money but get a smaller oven and less burners.

Here are some examples of what I am comparing to:

Any ideas - any suggestions? If you were on a tight budget would you go for what looks better or what works better? Big decision to make since once I buy it - I will be expected to use it for the next 20 years of my life.

Thank you and sorry for the long post.
