What kind of slow cooker did you get! I just got a NESCO 6qt. Roaster on Monday! Gave up on all the so-called "slow cooker"/crock-pots! I'm pretty sure I'm already in love with this Roaster! lol

You can find lots of good crockpot recipes on line. You may not need to buy a book.

I have a couple of good sites, but here's one I've used with good results. Don't ask me what I made 'cause I don't remember but I saved the site so it must've been okay.

I never had a slow cooker....I bought a 4 quart Hamilton...I checked the reviews on Amazon and it received great reviews. so I thought I had to try it. I have a pressure cooker that I love and like to try new things. I love to cook for my hubby....thanks again I appreciate your input..

I use my slow cooker several times a week. I love it. One of my favorite recipes is so easy. One pork roast (any kind), one can diced green chilis and 1/2 jar salsa. Mix the salsa and chilis and pour on top of pork. Let cook several hours then shred. I use this for my taco meat. My whole family really likes it.

The easiest and my family's favorite is

2 by4 Soup
1 lb ground beef (cooked and drained)
1 lb velvetta cheese (cubed)
2 cans Minestrone soup
2 cans Pinto beans (undrained)
2 cans Rotel

Throw all of that in the crock pot...cover and cook for 3 hours on low. Serve with corn chips.. Its wonderful!
