I was recovering from a bug over the weekend and was in bed the entire day.

There have been so many references to this show that I watched two of the re-runs.

WHAT??

All I could think of was this:

"STD's suspended in hair gel."

I won't even mention what I felt was "character issues" about each participant which kept running through my head every time one of them opened their mouth.

How can something like this show have gained so much popularity? It evidently has a huge following.

They behaved this way knowing their parents would watch it?

Having been raised in SOUTH Jersey, I find this show so offensive. WE don't sound like the Sopranos - different accents, etc.

I think people watch this show because it's like watching a train wreck. I don't think people take it seriously.

I apologise for the inacurate statement that Mulien is called white mans footprint. I swear I read it somewhere, or maybe I got confused because I also read that people would line their shoes with the large,wooly V. thapsus leaves to make their soar feet feel better. Plantain is edible. May have nibbled on it, but I haven,'t made a salad with it yet. I threw some lambs quarters into a Chinese stir fry last night. Not bad! Told my friend " oh by the way this green stuff in here is weeds from the yard". I have some tender pokeweeds in one area but not enough to make poke sallet, since there wouldn't be enough for a generous serving after boiling it 3 times. Would like to peel and cook some burdock flower stems, because I love artichokes, but I,'ve been seriously trying to eradicate all of mine. Just too big, and ugly for my taste. If it were actually rhubarb that would be another story. The next door neighbors don't weed their yard so maybe they will allow me to remove some of their burdock for them. Shouldn't Houzz have a don't like that comment button to push also,? :)

When the show first aired I had heard several comments in the media of how it portrayed Italians. I'm Italian, so I decided to watch a few episodes and was disgusted by the behavior. I know alot of Italians and none act in the manner of these fools. I'd like to think we had more contributions to the world than being Guidos and Guidettes.

I'm sure Snookie's look will be this year's new halloween costume hair. "The Situation" has now trademarked his name. These idiots will make a fortune.

It is like watching a trainwreck--you can't look away!! I am amazed that JWoww is only in her early twenties. She looks (and sounds) like she's been around the block a few times. She looks at least like she's in her thirties.

I called my DD at college to tell her I watched it online and how disgusting I thought it was and how grateful I am that she is NOTHING like those losers. She laughed and said they had Jersey shore parties where they got a bunch of kids together and watched the show and laughed at it.

I don't have any trouble walking away...It's a garbage show...What pathetic creatures. I married into a family of Italians...yes Matti to tell you the truth my name is Guida and I have never seen any of our family behave in the manner of these idiots. Our family is a family steeped in love and family tradition and if this is to portray Italians all I can say is I think not.

I saw on the news where the guy at the bar punched snookie in the face with his fist and while I would never condone that behavior, she really was asking for it...that's just the kind of female she is...actually she's a disgraceful...
