Bertch vs. Woodpro vs. ??
Comments (0)We are in the process of enlarging and redoing a family bathroom. (Yippee! Yay! Finally!) In our master bath, we used Bertch cabinets, but this was a few years ago, and now the store that we used doesn't carry them any longer. They are now pushing a brand called Woodpro. Does anyone have any experience with either or both of these brands? Or, do you have another kind of bath cabinetry that you love? Thanks!...See MoreBertch Legacy vs. Diamond
Comments (4)I put Bertch cabinets in several years ago and love them. I have both Legacy and one Custom piece from Bertch. Ours are QS oak and are beautiful. We thought we would have to do custom because we had a small weird space to work with but our KD was able to design our space so there were minimal fillers used. We had a custom quote from another cabinet maker and he came in about 10% higher although Bertch was running a free upgrade to the QS when we purchased the cabs. They also gave us free hardware (pulls and knobs) which was a bonus. Some of our priorities in cabinets included full extension drawers and Blum hardware. That's not obvious on their site and I don't think a lot of people realize they have it. After several years of heavy use (including teenage boys cooking and snacking) everything is looks and operates like new. Bertch are pretty poplular here, partly because they are made about an hour from my house. In my case the oak was also milled locally. I don't know about the other wood species. As a side note, Omega cabs are made in the same town as Bertch. Each company is owned by brothers. Bertch originally specialized more in bath cabinets and moved on to kitchens a little later....See MoreOmega vs. DuraSupreme vs. Crown Point cabinets?
Comments (12)All of these produce extremely high quality products. I do think that Crown Point would be the most expensive. I used their Prairie style doors as my inspiration but had my own design made by a local cabinet maker. As others posted, a talented kitchen designer is going to be more critical to your end product than your choice of brands among these three since the actual cabinets are going to be high quality - it's the design using those cabinets which is critical. In terms of price, until you can provide the designers with a proposed layout and get some sense of what the same cabinet configuration with the same doors/wood species would cost but that would really just give you a sense of relative pricing rather than what the final design would cost because it's all the details that add up - and also provide increased functionality. Crown Point Cabinets has no dealers so everything is ordered directly through them. I think their cabinets are fabulous but I personally wouldn't order them unless I was working with a kitchen designer/designer because I would not want to take responsibility for measuring and ensuring that I was ordering properly and then coordinating with the GC etc. I worked with a designer and a GC and I was more than happy to have them handle all the inevitable snafus....See MoreBertch vs KraftMaid vanity?
Comments (3)I have Kraftmaid kitchen cabs and a Bertch vanity and wall cabs in a bathroom. Everything is fairly new, but so far I don’t notice any difference in quality. I would have gone with Bertch in the kitchen too, but the quote was so high. I went to Home Depot just to compare prices on Kraftmaid. It was several thousand cheaper, and then there was a sale going on so it ended up like $8k cheaper....See MoreEpiarch Designs
