Comments (2)That is a really cool looking slab! Why not have a simple painted backsplash for awhile? A huge part of the cost of backsplash is labor, so saving on material might not help much. If you have 35 square feet and choose tile that is $10/square vs $20/square you save $350 but spend a lot more than that on labor....See Moreneed backsplash ideas, Virginia Mist granite
Comments (23)I was just hunting for a light gray glass on another post - wonder if this would work for your kitchen - or maybe larger glass pieces but not the mosaic. How about this one? it is a gray blend tile - I think the variation might play out nicely in your kitchen. But it might be too much with that gorgeous floor. Comments (22)Just another idea to check out. I have Uba Tuba and have Honey Maple Cabinets. (the cabinets were existing, but we just replaced the counter tops last year.) We used a tumbled stone tile called Giallo which is a golden tan color with glass accents that are different shades of beige/tan. The colors look great with the tile, and really draws out the golden specks in the granite. I am at work now, so I can't take pictures for you to see. But I recently posted some pictures asking about what type of floor I should get on the kitchen forum. The picture isn't the greatest, but will at least give you an idea. If you want to see more, please let me know. http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/kitchbath/msg0211145712876.html...See MoreNeed Help w/ Backsplash Ideas for Oceanic Bordeaux Granite
Comments (3)I couldn't see your picture but I was wondering if the place that sold you your granite also sold tile. Our place did so we were able to receive alot of help there. Anyway I would go lighter with picking up small accents of the granite color but any tile place should be able to help you if you go there with a sample of your granite....See Morededtired
