Ahhh...one of the disadvantages of roll out tray shelves (ROTS)! Drawers are so much better! I can say it b/c I have the same problem you do! I forgot to order one cabinet as a "trash pullout" for our Pet Center and ended up with one that has two ROTS as well as a drawer above...and unless I'm careful I also hit the doors! It's made worse in that I have soft-close so the ROTS take their time closing and I have to wait for them to close.

To be honest, I tried the bumpers but they didn't stick for long. I'm down to cultivating patience when I use that cabinet. I'm glad all my other cabinets are drawers or pullouts attached to the doors (except the sink bases).

Do any or all of your cabinets have just one door? If so, you might consider removing the hinges and attaching the doors to the bottom ROTS (and put that ROTS as low as you can in the cabinet). Then, you can pull it open and then, if needed, pull open the other ROTS. There's no more effort...for the bottom ROTS, it's one less action, for the other ROTS, it's the same # of actions.

I don't know what to tell you to do about those cabinets with two doors...that's what I have on my one cabinet like that and I haven't figured out a solution yet...other than to order a new door...and I'm seriously considering it. Could you do that?

Thanks, Buehl, for letting me know about your experience w/ the self adhesive bumpers....and for the sympathy! I also found these other bumpers online (see link below), but you have to drill a hole and screw them in. I guess that would be better than the adhesive ones falling off. But it's still kind of time consuming. My pullouts are in my pantry and in a few other cabinets. So there are alot of them! One side of the pantry is especially problematic b/c the doors only open to 90 degrees due to it being in a corner. I actually have to hold the door open so the pullout glides don't gouge the inside of my door. Need to find some kind of solution! What do you think of these other ones?

I was wondering the same thing. I read the forum answers and came up with this idea...I bought some 90 degree brackets from Home Depot. I got some 5 mm bolts, washers and lock nuts. I ordered some 1 inch bearing wheels for a 3D printer. I welded the 5 mm bolts to the angle brackets and used the washer as a spacer on the bottom and the lock but as the stop at the top. I then painted them black and screwed them to my drawers. Now the rollers hit the door fronts and push them out of the way without digging into the wood.

Pretty simple idea spurred on by the comments in this thread. Thanks
