Post your thoughts here! What are gifts you find work for people who are challenging to buy for?

I'm thinking of MIL, and what compounds Christmas, she has a December birthday. I got her some sweaters and a Christmas top. Last year we got her gift cards to the supermarket and Trader Joe's. Like most people, she doesn't need more "stuff" and probably needs to downsize. She doesn't really cook, so the things I would love for the kitchen don't really work.

I was thinking of AAA membership?

Any other thoughts?

Thank goodness DH(who also has a December birthday) is pretty easy.
