Hello Everyone, I wish I had had this information prior to my purchase so I collected the data and here it is. I hope this helps you! We are very satisfied.............

We paid a total net (after rebates from Carrier and Tax Credits) of $14,950 for Carrier 25VNA036 (3 Ton), Carrier FE4ANF005 and 10KwH Heat Strip as secondary heat source (plus all the labor, thermostats, etc.). Included in the cost was a repair of our duct work including running new ducts to the second floor and creating 2 zones as opposed to just 1. Mass Save 0% Heat Loan helped....

Our house is Finished basement, first and second floor for a total of 2300 sq feet. The house is fully insulated and sealed. Old singled pane windows with storms (1980's).

We replaced oil heat. The average per gallon cost in 2012 was $3.68 and we used 511.7 gallons at a cost of $1,883.06. This cost does not include the cost of electricity to run the fan (In March and April we were keeping heat at the 72 range 24/7 to use up our oil b/c we knew we were changing systems. My electric bill jumped up like $30-$40). We normally left the temp in mid 50s at night and when we were home between 58-62. I estimate it actually cost me over $2,000 to heat the house including electricity.

The system was replaced in May of 2013.

Figures for new system. We kept cooling between 72 and 75. We kept heat at 68 when we were home and 65 all other times.

The bottom line:

Cooling for 2013 - Used 615 KwH which cost $92.25.
Heating for 2013-2014 - Used 5753 KwH which cost $999.99.
Cooling 2014 for May and June - Used 149 KwH which cost $23.84.

On a side note, this was one of the coldest winters I have ever seen in my life....
