I've been MIA the past week. I've been mostly a lurker over the past few months, but I 'recognize' a few familiar 'faces.'

Sorry to be a downer, but did any of you hear if the poor child was buried or not? I tune in to Nancy Grace a lot, but she's so aggressive, I can only stand a few minutes of her. I know she's doing what she's doing in support of that little girl, but sometimes I just can't take it. As a result, I haven't heard any new information about the case.

Please bring me up to speed with any information you have.

Mrsjib, shes still isnt buried, but the good news is, at least she's not in a garbage bag abandoned in a lot anymore. What was going thru that poor babies mind when killer was doing this to her.

I know what you mean about Nancy Grace. I dont know how they get people to come on that show. She abuses her own guests. I CANNOT stand how she does a sybil when someone mentions her children. She could be having a hissy fit telling someone off, the next caller says something about her kids, and its like a cartoon. Her whole face and voice change, its disgustingly fake. Oh LOL, can you tell I can't stand Nancy Grace. I'll shut up now. :)

Just watched the ABC World News' update on this case. The anchor commented on how the Anthony's support of their daughter has waned significantly since Casey's accusation of molestation at the hands of her father and brother. Seems as tho Casey is willing to put her parents/family through whatever hell she deems necessary in her own twisted mind in order to avoid prosecution. Did I hear correctly that she wanted her parents to use the reward money to post her bail? What a sick, sick, sick girl. Her daughter was still missing at that point and all she wanted was to be set free. Speaks volumes of her character or lack thereof IMHO. I feel terrible for her parents. They seem to have made a very nice home for their unwed daughter and grandchild. How awful it must be for them, especially Mrs. Anthony. IRC, she originally placed the call to the police about the vehicle having been missing, and the subsequent "odor" in the car being similar to that of a dead body. From what I've seen, I believe Mrs. Anthony is/was a nurse? Sadly, the tapes of the parents visiting their daughter in jail were played. That girl was treating her parents terribly from the moment she was arrested. I can only imagine that this was not new behavior. With regard to the death penalty, it was reported that unless/until the prosecution can prove that Casey in fact murdered little Kaylee, she will not be subject to the death penalty. I do think it would be a shame if the prosecution offers Casey a plea. Especially if the plea is in exchange for a confession or details of what happened to her daughter. At this point I don't think it matters, the child is gone. As far as I can tell, Casey will say/do anything, notwithstanding whether her testimony is truthful. Kaylee's mother definitely played some role in at the very least, the coverup as to the where, when and how's of her young daughter's demise.

I understand your concerns about getting a fair jury because of the media attentions this has received. Media spin is hyper-pap for the masses and made to keep viewers tuning in to that particular station. Hopefully there are enough intelligent people who can tune out the rumor mongering sensationalism and be part of a fair and impartial jury of peers. The thing about selecting a jury is those folks answers to the questions. Truthfully, knowing about something is very different from having a predisposed judgment without the body of evidence giving proof beyond a shadow of doubt. I do know Casey is accused of killing her daughter. I know there is much debate over the evidence and its handling. I know many people already believe she is guilty. I could not presume to make judgment of innocence or guilt without seeing the evidence giving absolute proof. Even after a trial and I am not a juror I could not make the assumption she is guilty or innocent because I would not have seen all the evidence, heard the testimony, and seen the actions and reactions of the accused. If I were a juror I would make absolute sure I understood everything and would ask for clarifications if I didn't understand. I would hate to send someone to death row over a tidbit of incorrect or misunderstood information. In this type of trial the jurors are very vulnerable people. They have the burden of seeing justice done in a very publicized case of child murder. All the while being denied the comforts of family and friends that would normally be the support and strength to help them thru a rough situation. LIL

Thank you to those who seem to have a good handle and understanding of how the legal system works, and sharing it with us. I think a lot of the posts, from members like me, is mostly personal opinion and wishful thinking of what we would like to see happen to Casey and how we wish things had turned out. In my opinion, there is room on this site for our thoughts, and the expertize of the 'experts' without chastising and belittling. Personally, I wish Casey would take a long walk on a short pier.

I know Nancy Grace's history and I still don't care for her TV persona. She has a grating voice and a strident personality. She is anti-crime but who isn't? Personally I believe she is just as aware of her ratings as any TV host is and works to increase them. If ratings go down the show gets canceled. Her inflammatory rhetoric provokes the situation and she has made several public, grievous errors. She doesn't seem to have any problems declaring someone is guilty before a trail even commences. She lambasted Duke and the Duke University lacrosse team in a case where a stripper falsely accused 3 players of rape. And there are quite a few other examples where she's used her show to push her own agenda. I don't watch her show but there are times when she's a guest on other programs and I catch her act there.

Another two weeks? Geez, I so want closure for that baby girl. I know there are tons of missing children out there, but her sweet little face captured my heart. I wish there was more that can be done for her.

At my core, I know she's sitting at the feet of Jesus and she's in a much better place than we are. I still mourn for her short life and the lack of respect her killer showed her.

I did hear on this afternoons news that the defense has video THEY took of the area where they found little Kaylee. The video was filmed BEFORE they found her there.

This whole story is so sad.

I hate to watch Nancy Grace with Main Man who is retired Judge. You don't want to know what he thinks of Nancy Grace. She misinterputs Law all the time. You can see the other Lawyers laughing at her ignorance.

But, I like to watch her she is kinda freaky. LOL!

I too, just cringe when someone calls in and "slobbers all over the twins".

Oh, I love you people! Sincerely! Nancy Grace has to be the most obnoxious person on television. As Carol said, I don't think I can stand the phrase TotMom one more time. And I so agree with Linda and Mrsjjb.

Can you tell I just scroll right by that channel?

I can't stand her rudeness either...but I love to watch her! Makes no sense..I think it's a love hate relationship! LOL....she is so annoying and for awhile I just couldn't stand to listen to her...but now I can't go a night without watching her show. I know what you mean about the change in personality when the babies are mentioned. My DH can't stand the way people are still calling in and mentioning them as if they were just born still...makes him crazy!

Why would anyone refer to someone as a Tot Mom. Sorry...I just don't get it. I saw about 2 minutes of her show for the very first time the other night. That was all I could take. Tot Mom...what the heck is that?

I hope that child rests in peace. My heart breaks for her.

I used to like Nancy Grace, but now I just endure her.

I like to know about real cases, so I watch the show. What frustrated me so is at the opening each evening we had to listen to that same introduction. Oh, and also from the beginning Caylee was referred to as a three year old. She was two and a half, and should have been referred to as a two year old.

Linda, your "sybil" remark is right on. Some of the young folks here probably didn't get it. I'd like to see that movie again.

I think the lawyers come on just to get their name out there; no other reason. And what is with that RED headed one? I always think of Gretal, as in Hansel and Gretal.

I'll keep tuning in for the duration I guess.

And BTW, Jane VelezMartin is pretty much a NG clone.

Jane Velez-Martin! That's her name! I was wondering... I think she is just awful too... always seems so mad and yelling at people. I didn't think they could have found anyone else as obnoxious as NG.. seems they have.

I'm pretty sure you are talking about Jane Velez-Mitchell - I remember the name only because she used to be a news anchor here in the Los Angeles area.

Since our household has been living in the stone age of broadcast TV (with rabbit ears!), I have not seen this Nancy Grace person before. Guess that is something else to look forward to when we finally get hooked up for cable - LOL

Back to Kaylee, it hurts my heart to see her sweet face in that photo. We need a much better system to protect our children. She could have been put into foster care and been adopted by sane people who wanted her.

Another one here that has this love/hate relationship where Nancy Grace is concerned. She irritates me to no end but she does have a lot of information about some of these high profile cases that your regular nightly news just doesn't carry, so I watch. Her attacks on guests have lightened a bit since a lawsuit was filed (still not settled) by Melinda Duckett's family. But, IMO, she still walks the line a lot when it comes to clear harassment.
