Extending/Adding ductwork to cool/heat a third bedroom??

We recently realized that what we thought was a vent in our loft area that we are converting to a third bedroom is a return air duct. There is no air or heat coming to that room. However, there is a floor vent in the bathroom directly below this area, 10 feet below. It pumps out air at a pretty good clip.

Would it be possible to just put a T in ductwork in the bathroom below and extent the ductwork up to the loft area? I've read that you can't do this on other sites but wanted to check in with the experts here. The room above is about 200sq feet. We will have two venting skylights installed in this room and also probably install a ceiling fan.

Thanks in advance for your help!
