Yep, me too! All I have is ugly wet brown leaves to look at. Unless you count the paper towel the dogs shredded in the back yard. LOL!

Suggestions Needed: Little Dog Changed Since Big Dog Barked At Her

I would suggest you watch Caesar Milan's new show 'Caesar 911'. I believe it's on the Nat Geo channel. There are a lot of people that say they don't like his approach to training but most of the negativity is based on what they saw on his old/original shows. Caesar has come a long way since the first tv seasons of him rolling aggressive dogs in order to become alpha. He now uses a more positive approach in training (and sometimes even uses treats) to get the response he wants. On the new show he stresses the correct way to walk your dog, and of course how the owner needs to stay calm and in control. In the meantime you need to make sure your dog doesn't run ahead of you toward any dog since that could put the other dog on the defensive. When you see her start to react to another dog, correct her and wait for her to calm down.......but keep in mind that you have to also look at how you're reacting to the situation. Watch some of the episodes and you'll see how you can apply some of Caesar's techniques.

Debra. I have a little short video of the bunny. Been trying to email it to my daughter in N.C. but I have not been able to do it yet, ,and a short video of hummingbirds eating at my feeder and cant sendthat to her either yet. I couldn't send emails after moving and going wthdifferent internet, until a lady came here and showed me how to send emails, now have to get her to show me how to send video;s I can see them, but can' mail them, will try to get a photo of the little bunny .The daughter asked me what else do they like to eat and I told her rabbit pellets from the feed store, so she plans to get it some fpr me to feed it.susan Weber has never rebloomed for me either until now and I;ve had it since 09.I am very impressed with it this year.

Do I need to mow in January since it hasn't snowed?
Q
Comments (6)
If it is squishy, you should hold off until the ground supports the mower regardless of when it is. If it is long enough to mow then you should mow it when it is needed. While some of the grass in my yard is getting long, the onions are getting out of control. I plan on mowing in the next couple of days if it is not raining. I want the grass short enough, that when the gum balls drop, they will be easily cleaned up with the leaf blower.

Ladyinred...have you forgotten the 12+ inches we got last November? :-) Brrr. I really don't want to do that again any time soon. But better snow than ice. What part of OK are in you? I'm in the NE corner of the state.

Marla, how are things going there? I just saw a bunch of snow in the New York state area. LOTS of it. Also heard, you have ice heading your way, or like I can tell from your last post, already there.

I hope, your power stays on, and all ends well.

Well...it iced over night and the roads were treacherous this morning. We had one fatality wreck last night, and it happened to be one of my best friends brothers. Very sad. My husband worked a wreck where a woman was out trying to fix a flat...another lady lost control of her vehicle and hit the truck the woman was trying to jack up..it flipped the truck over on the woman..but luckily there was a ditch that saved her life. Her leg however was broke in several places. I drove to work this morning and only went about 20 mph the whole way. And its not warming up. The pictures are beautiful of all the snow...thanks everyone!!

I was driving thru OK yesterday and it was raining and the temp was 31, I got a little nervous on bridges and overpasses. Luckily, I got home before it started to freeze on the roadways. It's icy here this AM.

Great photos! We haven't had a big snowfall for a year or two. We'll lose power everytime, but we still like it! lol
