Hi, I,m a newbe here, what an awsome site. wish I had found it 3mts. ago. We are finally remodleing the old 1880 meets 1950,s-60,s kitchen we have lived in 14yrs.Would love marble ,but it looks like we are going with quartz.Please any info on this product would be wonderful, if anyone has this countertop I would love to see a photo of it in someones kitchen. I wish I'd read these comments before trusting Lowe's with my countertop install. I saved for 2 years to buy new countertops and wasted it on a dishonest company. The Lowe's store "specialist" handed me Allen & Roth fast track program flyers and said everything is done online. A & R fast tract means nothing. The program states 10 days, the store personnel said 15 days or less. My install took 59 days and ended up with a mismatched seam. Lowe's Sage Surfaces brought a large slab of granite (they called a free cutting board) to cover the mismatched seam. It's so heavy I can't move it. I was contacted later by Lowe's customer service and offered a 10% discount to "make it right". I have learned the hard way that Lowe's cannot or will not deliver on any promise or guarantee and they don't understand the meaning of "Make It Right".

I think Stephanie brings up a good point. She LOVES grey. If you love gray (and I mean not because it's the in color right now but you've always been drawn to shades of gray) then I say go for it. Especially if you have no plans of moving in the next 10 years. However if you are choosing the gray because it's what is being seen all around (like in RH which started the trend), and you've become "accustomed" to it, sort of like in the 60's we became accustomed to nehru suits and avocado green appliances, then I'd say go instead with something more neutral and bring in the grays in the other areas. Also, it may be the photo, but Stephanie's floors have a hint of gray but look more like a natural floor than one that was stained with gray. Beautiful kitchen btw!

Industry standards say that no more than 10" of 3cm stone can overhang without support, or no more than 6" of 2cm. You have received multiple cautions that your situation exceeds industry standards. If you choose to ignore this, then when the inevitable break does occur, you will personally be on the hook because you have been made aware of the hazard. Insurance will not protect someone who knows of a danger and refuses to rectify it. It is the same as if you refused to put a fence around your pool and someone drowned. Your home and personal finances would be subject to loss. Fix the damn overhang with some support before you lose a foot.
