Hello!

Does anyone remember me? It seems so quiet here compared to about 4 or 5 years ago when I was a regular here. I remember having to wade through pages of posts just for one day.

Where did everybody go?

Well the fighters are gone. So that counts for a lot of the posts. I have only been back a few months. Welcome back!!!!!

I do remember you! I'm keeping this tab open to remind myself to check the posts. I used to read the BHG page too, but they took that down a few years back. I really missed that one. While I love FB, I love the anonymity of this place. :)

Hello, hello, Betty! Welcome to RMG! WeÂre glad you found us! There are lots of people around here who can help you with just about any kind of questions you can come up with. And if you happen to ask something nobody knows the answer toÂwellÂweÂre good at guessing and making suggestions too! ;-) When you try to post the pictures, if youÂre having a problem, let us know what picture hosting site youÂre using, and somebody will be able to tell you how to find the link you need to post them. If you donÂt have a hosting site yet, I use Picasa and I love it! (And thanks to the folks here at RMG, I even know how to use it!) Again, welcome! And bring on the pictures and questions! Skybird

Beautiful pictures. I planted 3 this year and they didn't come up. My friend said I should have dug them up and checked the tuber. Didn't. She is having her open house this week with 800 dahlias. She sells the tubers in the Spring and people can tell her which ones they like when they come and look and place an order in advance.

I've been worried about running out of space as well. Not to mention that I'll be moving soon to a university apartment, so who knows how much space I'll be getting. I've moved my whole succulent (mostly echeveria) collection to square, ceramic dishes that I've bought at World Market. Before my plant collection became out of hand, I decided that I'd invest in a ceramic drill bit and buy cheap ceramic dishes to use as planters. That way, I could have a matching/complimenting set of pots (its also easy to create macrame hangers for them)! I took some "progress report" photos the other day, since I enjoy looking back at older photos of my plants to see how far they've gotten-- here are some of them! Took a photo of this Echeveria Allegra and its pups. The leaves at the bottom are outstretched a bit more due to the weather deciding that sunny days and spring are simply things that shouldn't exist. Thankfully it's growing in nicely and quickly (been using manure tea). Square dishes fit together nicely to save space. Also allows for easy 90 degree rotations every now and then. I enjoy having dishes that have mixed succulents, similar succulents, or just one type of succulent to provide different visual interests (and since everything is modular, its easy to change the look of the area). My Irish Bouquet is doing fairly nice, and my Echeveria Minima is actually pushing out five pups, alongside its two older pups, so I may have to place it into a different pot soon!

So happy for you!

My life has been a roller coaster for the past several years. Left my job at the drugstore. Went into office work. I suck at office work. Went back to the drugstore. Left that to work in a shop that makes bath products, I did manufacturing and packaging. Got laid off.. long story, I'll vent about it someday. Was on WCB because of that job, then EI for a year, now back at the drugstore, just not the same drugstore, just same chain. I lost one of my kids last summer and we have a new grandson. He is 2 months old and the only thing that keeps me truly happy.

Hi Debby! Yes, I remember you. I am sorry for your loss. Let's see, do you remember my DD having my DGS in 2003? Damien? Well, Damien is about to have a baby sister! And DS got married in Oct. We gained a daughter and 2 more grandsons with that.

That's awesome, Tami! Two of my kids never want kids. My oldest couldn't have kids. So it was up to my baby, who turned 27 the day before his son was born. Not to brag at all,nor am I biased....... (snort!), but I have THE most adorable grandson ever! LOL He hasn't given them a single reason for crying other than when he's hungry or cold. He's smiling at everyone now, and almost smiles. We took him to meet my oldest sons caregivers today, and he even tried to tell them stories already! yes, he's brilliant. :)

Yes I remember you Debby, your life seems to have been difficult in the missing time to say the least. My sincere condolences on the death of your child. I love hearing the joy in your note about your "precocious, gorgeous grandson" I have one of those too, aren't we lucky. Welcome back and keeping posting.

Yes I remember you and welcome back. I keep posting sometimes good or bad. Lots of new people but do miss lots of the others. I lost my husband last Aug so am going thru records, papers etc. He had been very ill with cancer and severe breathing problems.
Right now I am having problems with my computer but working thru that.
