for those of you with a Blanco Silgranite Anthracite Sink
Comments (9)Thanks everyone! Here is the granite color I have I have already ordered the black Silgranite Sink so at this point I can't go with the Blanco brown, but I will be going to Home Depot to look at their brand tomorrow. The tough part is going to be matching the sink, the faucet and the tough one is the Sinkerator Hot water dispenser. Getting all those blacks to work is going to be huge. I like the ORB in Moen but it is very brown and the hot water dispenser is not even close. The only other option is to change everything to Matte black but the sink seems to have a little more charcoal so even that is not going to be a hit. Maybe I should go with stainless on the faucet ect but it is the only stainless in the kitchen and I have ORB hardware (a dark ORB instead of an brown ORB). I am driving everyone crazy here at the homefront as I have ordered 3 faucets so far and I have to have this done for the granite templete next week...thanks for the help!...See Morewhich strainer with Silgranit sink?
Comments (7)Like fishymom said, Blanco makes both the regular strainer and one that covers the GD flange. We have a double bowl sink and one side will have the regular strainer and the other will have the GD one. The GD one snaps into place over the existing GD flange....See MoreDid I just get a Blanco Silgranite I sink (not Silgranite II)?
Comments (7)The Homeperfect site is working today. If you think you didn't get what you paid for and you are concerned about durability, then I'd return it. The number on their website is 1-888-850-3999. (That might be a sales line; they should be able to give you a customer service number. Also there should be a number in the paperwork you got with your order.) If the description on their website didn't specify whether it's the I or II model then that wouldn't necessarily be a reason to return it (in their minds) but you also have the issue with the scuff mark that you could use as a reason. If the description did have a model number that's different than the model number on the box you received, that's certainly a valid reason for a return. I'd also call Blanco's customer service rather than waiting for an email response. Then you can have a live conversation about your concerns....See MoreBlanco sink strainer
Comments (4)May I suggest you get a good strainer? We have a 2-bowl Ticor sink but I did not use the strainers that came with it...I purchased a Kohler DuoStrainer & GD flange. I hesitated since I thought "who cares? a strainer is a strainer." Boy, was I wrong! I have never had such a substantial strainer and, more importantly, one that works! It stays open when I want it open and stays tightly sealed closed when I want it closed by just dropping it in...without having to push it in as hard as I can or lining it with dish detergent. The Blanco strainer may be comparable...I'd check it out! But, do not get a nickel strainer. Nickel can be damaged by several cleaning products. Even though I have a brushed nickel faucet, soap dispenser, & airswitch, I got a stainless steel strainer....See Moreonedog3cats
