Looking for a Picture-Please read, maybe YOU can help!

I am looking for a photo from a magazine. Don't remember which one, (that's truly helpful, right?). It must be from around 2009 because that is when we started our kitchen and it was probably the photo that made me think "It's ok to go white cabinets and kind of make the kitchen a little glamorous".

Here's the shot:

Looking at the kitchen, see the range in the background, and the white marble island is running from Left to Right, (here's what I'm specifically looking for...) there are 2 rectangular lights over the island, silver with crystal. Sort of look like the ones Pottery Barn is now selling (theirs are bronze, I want silver).

I'm also remembering that there is a blue/white round banquette in the room. I do believe that has been posted as an inspiration photo by someone on here.

I know this is a shot in the dark, but I am looking through every magazine I have and I cannot find it.

It might not be in a Kitchen magazine, but could very well be in a House Beautiful maybe, or Elle Decor? Not sure. I am pretty sure I have seen the banquette photos reused in another story by the same magazine (which makes me think HB because they have been doing that a lot lately).

So if you have any ideas, can you let me know?

I think that was posted in a thread about built-in banquettes years ago, I think searching banquettes may be the clue. I printed out and saved many years ago, I will go dig!

wow.. in TX.. in the median.. with little or no soil surface compared to the tree itself.. i am surprised the grass is as green as it is.. perhaps watered??? i give it a gold star for persistence ... lol ken

all nigra are total dogs in my yard ... WOOF!!! ... even the healthy ones look sickly all the time ... i wish they would die.. but they wont ... which i take to mean they are NOT really sick ... BTW ... new house????? how big is the yard???? pungens will grow about 1 foot to 18 inches per year once they get going [see pic of hoopsi below] ... you will need a 15 to 20 foot circle for the next decade or 2... give them space... if you want a blue one.. get a blue one... or even bluer.. a named variety ... DO NOT BUY A GREEN ONE.. AND HOPE SOME DAY IT WILL TURN BLUE ... sylvestris and strobus are forest trees .... IMHO ... growing 3 to FIVE FEET per year.. inside of a year or two ... they will need 20 to 30 feet of ground space inside of a decade ... is that really what you want ... and picea abies are not that far behind .... google any of them.. and flip to the images side.. to see the gigantic potential of all of them .... i did the same thing you are thinking ... using species as backbone... and i will yell... ON MY FIVE ACRES.. 8 TO 10 YEARS LATER.. SOME OF THEM ARE TOO BIG ... frankly.. i think you are focusing on the BARGAIN.. and missing the point ... there are a lot of very nice named cultivars that will have a much more manageable footprints in the future .... do NOT jump simply because of the bargain ... all of these grow in native mountain ranges.. which have rocky sparse high drainage low fertility soil ... so ignore that variable... but i have no clue about the alkaline soil issue and will defer to others ... IMHO.. sand is the best for any tree .. and conifers are trees .... and throw in shrubs also .. sand is only an issue with water loving annuals/perennials ... and bulbs that need a good deep soil to thrive ... how about some pix of the new moonscape.. that you want to turn into a landscape ... ken a one gal hoopsi planted in 2003 .... Xaun that is a gorgeous Hoya, something special. Does your plant have a flat stem? The reason I ask is because there is a Hoya that is referred to as Hoya sp. flat stem and it comes from the Philippines and it resembles your plant. If the traps work for you, that is great but people should know that they stink before they buy. I have a well. The pump uses electricity. Buckets of water work to flush the toilet in summer outages. My fly trap was knock you over stinky and you could smell it for a distance. If I lived in town I wouldn't use one. Don't put them down low because my dog chewed a hole in the first one I got (nothing new) but the stink was attractive to him. I got them for flies that were in the barn. I think you should catch one of your flies and have it identified. Some of the flies in my garden are Trachinid. They looked like house flies to me before I saw one biting a big hornworm. I am not sure the good flies would be attracted to the stinky trap because some of the good ones like nectar. Here is a link that might be useful: flies

that light fixture reminds me of the Ochre Arctic Pear light fixture which seems to be in many of the Elle Decor households. But it is round, not rectangular.

I even sent a note to the stylist who came here for Better Homes & Gardens Specialty Magazines.....I thought maybe, just maybe she'd know it. But no, she doesn't know either.

I will have to try and find my old magazines around here. This "being organized" thing while selling your house is just a bit too much confusing for me! Lol

I should say that the rectangular light's metal parts were sort of ornate. I would use those Pottery Barn ones, but I'm not thrilled with the finish.

I have time.

I can keep looking. But the light is such an important element in setting the tone of the kitchen, just like the counters are. (too me at least)

Have you checked Elle Decor or House Beautiful online? You could check the display ads for lighting sources. I'm pretty sure I've seen this style fairly recently, so will keep an eye out.

I surfed the 'net a little and haven't found any silver finish rectangular lights, but I did find one very similar to the Pottery Barn example only its round, not as ornate, more contemporary.
