Food labeling - msg

User

I know there are a laundry list of "sneaky words" for msg (& other things). I've been trying to pay closer attention to what I'm buying in general and didn't look close enough this time.

I wanted some chicken stock and the unsalted, no glutens, "no msg"(marked right on the front) kind from Kitchen Basics looked to be a good fit. Looking at the label again once home I noticed it says "chicken flavoring"... MSG! That's flat out, bold faced lying. How is that legal? And why is it legal for there to be many "sneaky" names for things that are bad for you? I already know the answer but I hate the deception.

I do know how to make chicken stock but I wanted it for tomorrow.
