Advice needed on ceiling fan(s) and room cooling

I hope I can get some advice from people with experience on this, as I donÂt know what other forum to post the question. We are adding a 4-season room onto our house with 7-foot windows all the way around. It is on the North side of our house so there is not a lot of direct sun in the summer except in the early morning and late evening (we live in Maryland). The room measures approximately 21x18 ft. with a cathedral ceiling. The current architecture plan shows two ceiling fans being used in this room. Two fans seem unique, but are they really effective and/or efficient when it comes to use, or would one larger one be more effective with respect to air flow from the blades and area impacted below in the room?

If two fans were used, they would probably be 44". If one large fan was used instead, I believe a 52" fan would work. Unfortunately, because the room plans show two fans, oneÂs mind (referring to my husband) tends to stay zeroed in on that scenario as opposed to another option. Although we will also have the option of A/C on those really hot and humid summer days, the plan is to use A/C sparingly as we can open all of the windows up in this room to achieve air flow and that "outdoor" patio feeling. Any advice from those of you with single or multiple ceiling fans and effectiveness would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
