OH my Gawd! I saw your topic and couldn't sign in fast enough.

AWFUL absolutely AWFUL! That is the ONLY way I can explain it. I finally had to do a chargeback with my creditcard company.

They will NOT stand behind their product. I ordered a faucet. A part was missing, yes the box was previously opened. They would NOT replace the part. They said I could buy it locally. Why should I do that? I bought a new faucet or so I thought. And, I could not buy the part locally without ordering it and waiting 2 weeks for it to arrive and THEN pay an additional $19 plus shipping for it. I needed a faucet that day or next day, at the latest! The part was NOT a stock part.

I suggested IRA Woods send the part from another box overnight..NOPE, wouldn't do it wouldn't send it period. They told me to call the mfgr...the Mfgr said they would not send it because of where I purchased it. I'm not sure what they meant, but I guess it didn't matter.

We have had nothing but positive experiences with Ira Wood. We bought a high-end sink, a faucet, an InSinkerator, and various accessories on multiple orders. Never had a problem with anything. We tend to pick up the phone and call customer service directly (ask for Diane). We find that they will often do price matching as well.

Out of my dozens of internet purchases for my kitchen and baths renos, I have only bought one item from Ira Woods which was a faucet. That is because I have found Ira Woods' prices to be higher than other sites like Homeclick, faucet.com and Qualitybath.com. Also note that some of these sites will price match or price beat if you call them with a legitimate competitive price that is not from eBay. Check their websites to see if they do that. Meanwhile, my experience with Ira Woods on the one faucet was not great. It turns out the item was on backorder from the manufacturer. Fine, that happens. But Ira Woods would not communicate with me at all about expected lead time or return any calls. I would call their customer service number, speak to someone who was abrupt (several people and they were all abrupt), and who said they would call back, and then not hear anything. Meanwhile, Ira Woods charged my credit card immediately upon my order. Finally, I called the manufacturer directly who was very helpful and gave me an accurate expected delivery time. There's too many other competitors out there who give better customer service. From what I have read on this forum, people are happy with Home and Stone for Silgranit sinks.

It's not looking good for Ira Woods for the sink and faucet at least! These items are too pricey to chance. The faucet is the same price as at FaucetDepot. The sink is only $258 compared to the $325 (I think) at HomeandStone (and $384 at HD, $425 from a local store). But the $67 savings, while nice, is not worth the nerve-wracking I'd have to go through!

They have the grids at the cheapest I've seen anywhere, about 50% of retail.

I was surprised to see the sink and grid prices so low since the faucet was right with everyone else!

Anybody else have anything to add?

We ordered from them about 2 months ago and have had a positive experience. We ordered a Grohe faucet, a kindred sink and a small water purifier faucet by mountain products.

I read both good and bad reviews on this website so I was a little hesitant but their prices were so good I could not resist.

Everything was fine and our experience was very positive.

I got my sink grid there and was very happy with the service and quick delivery. The price was the best I could find on the internet. I don't have any experience with ordering faucets or sinks from them, so can't help you there.

The prices were great and everything was delivered within a few days. I have also shopped at HomeClick and Quality Bath and like their service and prices too.

I placed a couple of orders with Ira Wood when we did our kitchen. Both times, the items were in stock and arrived perfectly in a day or two. I couldn't have asked for more -- but I did make sure that the items were in stock before ordering.

Try calling Home and Stone to get a price match. Today I purchased a Rohl faucet, a Hansgrohe faucet and an Herbeau sink from them. Their prices were by far the lowest I found on Google Shopping. I used coupon code nyr11 for 11% off any purchase over $499, and they have free shipping. The gentleman I spoke with was extremely courteous and was able to tell me within minutes that the items were in stock and when I could expect to receive them.

It's good to hear that some people have had good experience with IraWoods. I thought I remembered someone writing about them and liking them and that's why I looked to begin with!

I'm going to have to check into price matching from different places and see how open to it merchants are!

I ordered quite a bit from them when we built our house. The only issue we had was with a faucet that arrived with tool marks (the fault of the manufacturer). They shipped me a new one, same issue (the manufacturer must have had a bad batch). Ira Woods opened a box for me and sent me another one. That one was fine. I would buy from them again. Another thing I had a minor issue with was some of the Newport Brass items I ordered. The salesperson on the phone was pretty clueless, but she called Newport Brass and got an answer and the order arrived without issue.

Homeclick? Don't order from them if you need it at a certain time. There expected delivery is complete BS.

We ordered from Ira Woods 3 different times. They had the best prices on Elkay sinks and faucets. We also ordered our insinkerator. Each time we received the items faster than I could imagine (ordered on Thursday and arrived on Saturday) and have no complaints on any of the items. We have also ordered from Homeclick, 3 Toto toilets and got a great deal on a panasonic fan on wamhomecenter. We have had no problems with any of these vendors.

We also had a negative experience with Ira Woods, just awful. They did not stand behind their merchandise. I would never use them again and would not recommend them.

I ordered an air switch from Ira Woods last year during my kitchen remodel. Arrived with the button missing -- the button, the assembly, etc. It only came with an effing tube!

I immediately contacted them and they gave me the run around for several days. Finally they said I could ship the incomplete package back to them at my expense. A replacement switch was on backorder and they wouldn't have it for weeks (which I'm sure in reality would have been more like months). Just to get them to refund my money was a hassle, and I was out both the original shipping charge, and my return shipping charge. They wouldn't even credit me for the purchase price until it had arrived back at their place. And I still didn't have an air switch.

I will never shop from them again. It was the only online vendor I had a bad experience with. Be warned.

I ordered 3 pairs of J.A.Henkel tweezers and it took 2 months, 3 emails and 2 telephone calls. But I couldnt find them anywhere else outside of Germany where I bought my 1st pair. i finally got them. so if you are not on a timeline...I guess you could give them a try.

I would check out Ira Woods on the Better Business Bureau website. We ordered our Silgranite Anthracite sink from Faucet Depot and couldn't be happier with the price, customer service, delivery, packaging, etc.

The BBB has 102 complaints against this company in the last 36 months with C rating.

I ordered a kinndred prep sink tonight that was "usually ready to ship on or next day"

In my confirmation email it says "as agreed, you item will ship on or AFTER 10-12 business days..." HUH?!

See what happens tomorrow when I call them...this could be a pain or or it could be themselves covering just incase they are late.

RUN, don't walk away from Ira Woods! We ordered a combination whirlpool air tub from them in January and didn't have it delivered for weeks. When it arrived, the box had the top missing, and it looked like it had been dropped off a 10 story building. It was held together with 5 different types of tape and still had large holes and rips in the box. I called Ira woods before the delivery guy even left ,and was told to take pictures of it and they would put in a claim and schedule a pickup. My husband wasn't going to sign for it but the delivery guy said he had to sign that he received it. He put a ? on it also. I went back and forth with them and they kept wanting more. They told me that since it was signed for, they weren't liable!They had already picked up the tub so I was without my money and no tub! I called My credit card company and they did an investigation and all of a sudden, Ira woods said they would replace the tub. They told Am Ex they couldn't get in touch with me to schedule the delivery of the new tub so I called them and they said no they were waiting for the order to be fulfilled, as soon as they received it, they would contact me for delivery.After waiting for over another month, they sent me an email saying that they were refunding me what the shipping company was providing them, which was 1/2 of what I paid. I called Am ex again and they sent me about 40 pages Ira woods sent to them with all kinds of "fine print" which says they don't have to replace it. So, American Express credited my account with the money they offered, and objected and asked for the remainder of my money. I probably have over 100 emails and phone calls with them and that doesn't count all of the stress! Forget the fact that almost 1 year later we still don't have our tub, or the money! RUN, RUN, RUN!!!

I wish I had checked this forum before ordering from IraWoods - it's been over a month and we're told they're shipping us most of our items, but I don't have any real confirmation - and it took repeated calls - as they only responded to emails with form letters.

Hopefully all will be resolved - but the note above about quality is really concerning me. I need to spend this kind of money (Nearly $4k) with a company that stands behind their products and service.

The same day I bought from IraWoods, I also bought from Overstock.com -they have been amazing and quick to remedy receipt of a damaged item. They have been great.

Stay away that is all I can say. I have ben waiting over a month for a vanity and they keep blaming the manufacturer for slow shipping. I call and they keep pushing the date back. No idea when it might arrive. Stay away. Beware.

We ordered a sink from irawoods in December 2010. Delivery date was January 27. It is now the second week of April 2011 and we are still waiting. We get the occasional email with a new date - generally sent after the prior date has passed without any communication.

We call customer service and generally get voicemail but occasionally persevere and get through to someone who is quite abrupt and on the last call asked us what she was expected to do about it? Duh! In short, the experience has been horrible and I would not recommend buying anything from them.

You might be able to save on sales tax with irawoods, but I'd recommend you spend a little more and buy it locally - at least then you have someone who will be more responsive to your inquiries,

I know we generally only post negative information or when we have issues.

I had an issue with another company who resold Decolav (ira wood) products. The company I purchased from would not do anything. Decolave stepped up and actually refunded my money.

To reiterate what someone said above - RUN FROM THESE PEOPLE. I don't think I've ever seen such blatant liars and cheats! My order arrived with missing pieces. I phoned them immediately and a really rude boy named Matt answered the phone. He refused to issue a pick up, make it right or even try to address the issue. And can you believe this? He told me "You should've known better". Huh??? Guess he was having his period that day so I asked for a supervisor. He said he'd have one call me. No supervisor called. I disputed credit card and when they responded to the dispute, they said I hadn't called them within the required 3 business days after receipt. That's an outright lie!!! 3 business days? I phoned them 10 minutes later! These people are the lowest of the low and their 'customer service' people are ignorant of customer service, dishonest, and I sincerely doubt their 'customer service' boy is even a person. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE THIEVES. I'm also lodging an official complaint about them with Master Card / Visa because they should know this is a crooked merchant.

Terrible!!! Just check out how complaints have been lodged against them with the Better Business Bureau. Buyer Beware...
