Help! Can't find backsplash for St. Cecillia Light counter tops

If anyone has Saint Cecilla Light granite counter tops, please tell me what you used for a back splash. The light version of Saint Cecilla is totally different than Saint Cecilla. It has much more gray and black. If I don't find a back splash soon, I will take a hack saw to it and run away from home. I have seen countless pictures of it on the internet but not one picture shows it with a back splash which tells me there is no back splash in the entire world that goes with it. Help!

I have that stone in my current kitchen. I have contemporary taste and used black glass which looks great with the black and silver running thru the stone. I also love the pops of garnet in the stone. I have natural maple cabs.

Pics are not great...just snapped them for you. The grout looks gray but is black.

Gads...after looking at the last picture, I need to do some cleaning.

If u don't like glass, have u tried any other black tiles?

Don't give up...u will find the right BS.

Thanks,Mountainme. That is very pretty slate- is it your kitchen? Do you know the name of it? I never knew slate could be so gorgeous or that it came in so many color combinations until lately. I'm going to try and post a photo of the slate I found and my granite coutnertops. The slate seems to look busier in the photo and my granite less busy than in real life. Go figure! My cabinets aren't that orange in real life, either! I'll post sort of an overview of the kitchen so you can see how different the granite looks from a distance- it looks more white or off-white and gray. You can't see the golden veins much at all when you step back. This is what is part of what is driving me crazy trying to find a backsplash to go with it.

BEAUTIFUL! You have to enjoy working in your garden, because it is really well tended and planned also. Love it. I see your high chain link fence is like my back fence....7 foot tall and 100 feet long. I've planted Confederate jasmine...or trachelospermum jasminoides....or something sounds like that? It is evergreen here, and makes a gorgeous privacy fence withing a few years. Maybe in 4 years but by 5 it is very effective....they use it in Italy everywhere, including to climb over arbors, up old stairways, and covering fences to create a living privacy fence. Let me recommend it to you for that purpose. If you like, I'll create a Flickr album about the use of this jasmine in Italian gardens (the ones I saw anyway) in Umbria. Etc. Here the cabana was covered in blooming jasmine, the short fence covered in the jasmine is kept trimmed as a short hedge, no hint of the chainlink frame holding it up inside.

oh, momo...now I have google ann sacks and found those tiles...I JUST LOVE THEM. $83 per square foot, eh? Ay yi yi! I also found other tiles there that I love. Part of me almost wants to go nuts and ethnic and busy, since the rest of my kitchen is so simple. I am just afraid I will tire of it. Like this... (not this exactly, I just mean a busy, ethnic pattern. Kind of looks 70s to me, also.) cherry-Yes, we addressed the torso issue already! Yet another reason I want the mirror antiqued, and also not flat panes but rather tiles, so the "cuts" will break up the view a bit! I know what you mean, some of these threads get so long and I want to give my 2 cents but I just *know* one of my comments has probably already been made, but I say it anyway. Thanks for the input. You are not the only one with the opinion that with so much stainless and "coolness" I should go with warmth/color/texture. The things is...I see so many finished white kitchens similar to mine that have white tile as a BS, and I like them. I also like those pics that momo posted in her link, and they are white, with SS appliances, and mirrored BS and I think they look good. Well, I am torn and DH really wants me to make a decision so he can install. He wants the tile/color/texture look. I will keep you guys updated! Thanks so much!

Original Poster Update I've finally made a decision on cashmere carrara quartz countertop (MSI) and Masia Gris Claro tiles. I'm hesitant about the cashmere carrara because the photos I have seen vary so much and the sample is so small... If anyone has some real-life photos of the cashmere carrara countertop, I'd really love to see them. They are coming to do the templates in two days so I'd still have time to change my mind. Thanks!

First, take a deep breath. This problem comes up here a few times a month!
Step back and look at how the over all color "reads"in your kitchen. The reason why Laurie's looks so good is that it not only blends with the St Cecilla but it also blends with the cream in her cabinets.
What color are your cabinets? If your cabinets are white and the counters read more grey, I would try to find a white tile with a grey undertone. Or a very light grey.
Can you post your kitchen?
It is funny that you mentioned no backsplashes shown with your granite. When I was having difficulty finding a backsplash, I went back to see my inspiration kitchen pictures. (They were white kitchen) Not one had a backsplash! I was so involved in the style and the color of the cabinets, I did not think ahead about the vision of my backsplash.
There are a few directions that you can go in, but if you post a picture it is easier for us to help you.
