Baked fish vs fried fish

I am trying to get my DH accustomed to baked fish rather than fried, due to his cardiac condition. He said that he doesn't like baked fish because "it's too soggy". I've tried various kinds of fish for this, from cod to tilapia to mahi-mahi. DH likes fish with crispy coatings.

So my question: Am I doing something wrong, that the coating comes out soggy? Or is there another recipe I could use that would make baked fish seem more like fried?
