Help Installing Brazillian Charry Hardwoods

I'm trying to install Solid Brazillian Cherry Hardwood flooring in my home. I bought the 3/8" think stuff. I'm struggling to find the correct method/tool to secure this to the subfloor. I'm attaching it to plywood subfloor (with tar paper between). The only tool that is available in my area to rent is the Bostitch LHF 97125 stapler. This thing can't get the staples through the wood, and they just bend.

Anyone have any ideas or know any methods for nailing/stapling this flooring down? Again, this wood is supposedly twice as hard as oak, and the Bostitch is the only pneumatic Flooring stapler that I can find that is for 3/8" flooring. All the other tools available are for 3/4".
