There is significant disappointment on our end as well as the builder that this was missed by the architect along the way. In fairness to the architect, the builder allowed us to work with the architect to develop the plans we love prior to any $ commitment from us but he did not want to pay for the survey until we were invested. So, here we are. We are disappointed because the length of the home has been established for several months and the width of the property has as well. The survey and site plan were just officially performed but the inputs are the same and have been known...so we are disappointed but still love the floorplan, location, etc. and want to make the best runner up choice we can :)

What is the rest of your flooring? Can you please post pictures?

The front porch landing is concrete and is at the same level as the front foyer. Is that how/ why the previous flooring got water damaged? Your house, your call. I still like the slate idea. Is there a side lite on the other side of the door? Because the sidelights help a whole bunch in keeping the foyer light. I have a slate entry as well as sidelites. They were half lights & had to be replaced. Opted for full lites almost identical to the one in your picture and it made a huge difference.

Thank you...it’s literally the last thing in my house we have not replaced. I do like the colors and the fact that it is real stone.
