Please note, our unfortunate experience with Br-111 just happened this past year 2013-current. We purchased expensive custom made wide plank engineered wood and paid over $12 sq ft from the current BR-111 (direct). At first, they tried to blame the problems on the wood being exotic, but after sending a video of the cracking that occurred on 100 % of the floor, they agreed it was a manufacturer defect and promised a full refund. This was back in January. It's now May and no refund. Very sad that the owner(s) of this company value money more than integrity. In life, I have witnessed what goes around comes around, and the individuals who have made the decision to withhold money will pay this money out one way or another. Perhaps not to myself, or yourself or even all at once, but rest be assured that any time dishonest money is earned, it washes out like water. It seems heartless that these people with families of their own (who happen to post all their wonderful Facebook events and news) do not have compassion on the customers who like them, only want the best for their families. We were planning on donating the refund to charity if we received it. Both my husband and I both agreed it would be right to do, so now they have not stolen money from a customer, they have stolen it from those who could have used it much more than us. Shame is just not powerful enough a word to put on this company.

Seagull , What type of Adhesive did you purchase for your floor? Was it a Urethane? I had a Bamboo cup on me a few years back because the store we installed the project for sold the home owner a water based adhesive. I have seen cupping happen on inspections i have been called in on and they were all from moisture transmitting from the sub-floor.Especially with solid products. A 9ply product with a 4 mil wear layer should be a very stable floor when glued down with the correct adhesive and it shouldn't be cupping. The installation may have been installed correctly with the exception of using the correct adhesive. If they used a water based adhesive and it is cupping and the manufacturer recomends a urethane in your installation specifications, it will be on the company that sold you the wrong adhesive and the installer if they didn't use the correct adhesive. I would refer to your invoice and see what type of adhesive was used on the project. I have been installing floors for 20 years and i have never had an engineered product cup on me nor have i have ever seen or heard about one cupping. I always recomend a urethane based adhesive on all of our products for this same reason. It defintely doesn't sound right to me unless you are pouring water on that floor when you clean it or you flat out have a moisture issue and they didn't test for moisture before the floor was installed. kge9, I am so glad you made a decision and I feel you will be very happy with the 5" width that I saw pictures posted on someone's kitchen on the kitchen site and it was gorgeous. Now I am wondering if I should go with the 3.25" width or the 5" width. I just felt that anything over 4" in my area could be a problem but now with my new air conditioner, I am finding out that my home never gets too humid and with my new heating system, my home is not getting as dry so maybe it would not be a problem for me. I can't wait to see pictures of your new floors.

@BillMiller what do you mean by delamination issues? We are considering the amendoim for our house and Indusparquet is the company the store has. Also, for anyone else, is solid wood sturdier than the engineered? Thank you
