But after trying to enter my 4 breakfast items on Spark, I'm not finding it easy to use, but that may be the learning curve. I'll try again later. There's a learning curve, I've only just begun, but it gets better with staying with it. When you click "Add a food", which leads to search foods, if you can't find what you want, be sure to tick under the lower far right of the search box "search food shared by other members" (that's a gold mine). Then once you find the food in the search results, click to highlight. (This is the step where you'd add it to your meal.) But below the search box you'll "Add to Which" (meal). Just under that is a little box you can tick to "Add to Favorites". Then you don't have to keep looking for the same things. From then on, when you click "Add a Food" and get the search screen, you just click the large "Favorites" tab at the top & that's where they are stored. HTH, I'm very new myself! And I found the demo videos (which I hate to watch) really did help. They're only a couple minutes long per step.

I just ran across this post this morning & it sounds great- so I'm joining! Late, of course - but what's new about that?? Ha Ha! Altho surgery & hospital stays have put a dent in my sewing time, so far everything I've made has been from my stash. I'll need to get pics posted soon. For those of you who know of my mom's supply - I have put the ka-bash on any more of her stash delivery to my house! - UNLESS she takes some of the stuff our girls have left in our attic! Seems like a fair enough trade. Apparently whenever the girls move, some of their things just don't fit onto the truck...so guess where it goes? - again! Can anyone relate?? Maybe I can get DH to watch kiddos for awhile so I can get pics posted of what I've done so far w/my stash. The girls are easy - 2 & 3 yrs - but the 3 mo old boy is not his favorite...yet! Geraldine, Spark People is a website that offers nutrition and exercise support for those of us trying to lose weight and improve our health. It has interest teams, sort of like GW has forums. I am co-leader of the Quilt and Lose team. When we reached 500 members everyone who wanted to celebrate sent me HSTs for Project Linus Quilts and/or signature blocks to one of the other leaders for Quilts of Valor. I think if you have special dietary concerns (diabetes, etc.) where you have to track what you're eating, it could be valuable as it calculates all of it out for you. However, for people without health issues, it's probably a waste of money. Almost everyone knows what they should be eating. Lots and lots of vegetables, some fruits, protein. Avoid sugars, artificial sweeteners, excessive dairy and grains, additives, lab-created food. The problem is will power, not knowledge. Everyone who eats junk knows they shouldn't be eating it, and a plan telling you that isn't going to help. But that's just my opinion. Everyone is different.
