Best blooming roses central new york
Comments (16)Hi Patreesh, I'm not in the same zone as you, so the following should be evaluated with that in mind. Most of my well established roses are either once bloomers, or bloom in two heavy flushes with sporadic flowering between. Well established and nearly continual bloomers: The Austins - Heritage, Mary, Sophy's Rose, Molineux and not quite as continuous(but was moved this spring, so..), Geoff Hamilton. Shrub rose Easy Does It. Florbunda Marie Pavie. Very good rebloom on the rugosa Roseraie de l'Hay. Fragrance to die for! One year in the ground and a pretty constant bloomer - HT Firefighter. I added many new roses this year, it will be interesting to see who does what in the future. Do you water your roses? I found that to be the most influential factor for bloom and vigor, as well as over all health. A deep soak whenever they need it(not on a schedule!). I use RoseTone, alfalfa pellets, Neptune's fish and seaweed emulsion(secret weapon), some organic hydroponic amendments, green sand, and copious amounts of compost(the garden/nutri brew, bagged mushroom compost and leaf compost. Mulch with small pine bark nuggets. If I could get ground pine bark, I would buy all I found and use that. Not an expert by any means, but just what seems to work out for me here. The water seems to be the most important thing, by a long shot. Nice to see other CNYer's here! I hope you enjoy gardening in CNY, Nastarana. I have been following your posts for a while. Krista gives very good advice, and helped me with some choices several years ago. I think of you every time I look at Eglantine, Krista. Thanks....See Moremy test of mohawk smartstrand vs shaw anso R2X carpet with pics
Comments (39). . . and now it begins I had SPECIFICALLY insisted that the carpet be power stretched. It was written on my order. It was written on the installers' job sheet. So what do I find when I check on their progress? A stinger. Which punches holes in the carpet and is explicitly prohibited by the CRI. I took a picture of it and emailed it to Lowes, and told them that the installer had violated the Mohawk warranty requirements. And hopefully didn't take chunks out of my subfloor in the process, but probably did. The installation team manager called Mohawk to confirm what I told him, and they said yes, stingers are a no go. So, I told them they are going to have to do it all over again, with new fresh materials, and do it right. more fun....See MoreBliss by Beaulieu o Mohawk Alladin?
Comments (0)Help! I need to make a decision today! I want to put one of these carpets in 3 bedrooms. Bliss by beaulieu or Mohawk Alladin? My main features that I want are stain resistance ( we have 2 little dogs) and resistance. I do not wants this carpet to look matted or untwisted in a few years. Any advice? Also, do you suggest another brand? I want to keep cost down so they have to be comparable to the carpet brands I mentioned....See MoreOpinions about Mohawk Smartstrand Enlightened Decor
Comments (4)Shaw frieze's can be of different fibers other than Nylon. If you purchase a Shaw Frieze..I would recommend either an Anso Nylon or HGTV Brand from Shaw. The dealer may not have HGTV as it is wildly selective to who they allow and invite to sell it. HGTV by Shaw has some beautiful friezes available and Anso also has some gorgeous frieze's. The warranty will be better with Shaw Anso or HGTv than the Smartstrand. You can place triple touch cushion under the Anso product or HGTV and that doubles the warranty to 40 years. To confuse you more, Tuftex of California which is made by Shaw has Anso Friezes that are the latest in style and fashion. Again Tuftex is a discriminating product and not available to all dealers...but very nice. I really like Anso, they are soft, wear extremely well and have the best manufacturer warranties that are offered. Smartstrand and Shaw are both green products. Both very earth friendly. Shaw has a recycling program in place..Mohawk does not. Smarstrand performs well though. Anso will give you more style choice in a frieze. Especially the HGTV and the Tuftex. Anso will have some lower price options for you with the same warranty..but you'll need to find a Shaw aligned dealer more than likely. All of this can be viewed and found at Shaws website. I will link you to it. Good Luck and if you have other questions, please post. Tuftex has its own site..but is a Shaw Product..It is Shaws designer collection (Higher End) Here is a link that might be useful: Shaw floors...See MoreFloortech
