Non darkening floor finish

We are looking for a floor finish , which does not amber or darken..

We tried BONA KEMI's NATURALE and TRAFFIC.;

Both of them are clear and do not darken the wood..

The only thing is that you first have to apply a sealer: BONA SEAL or DTS sealer', which DO darken the wood. So of course the end result is a darkened floor......

Does there exist a finish , oil or waterbased , wich does NOT darken or amber ?

Although it is not recommended, did you try Traffic or Naturale without the sealer? Call BonaKemi technical and ask about it.

We did sample NATURALE and TRAFFIC without the sealer...
They look perfect and do hardly give any darkening effect...
Bona Kemi technical advises against this , because of the risk of sidebonding..
We just tried it on a small area and only a few days ago..
Is there anybody out there who applied NATURALE OR TRAFFIC without the sealer a longer while ago and on a larger area??

In Europe you can buy NATURALE as a ONE component finish, to be used WITHOUT a sealer...( In the USA only the 2 component is available and is recommended to be only used WITH sealer)

I was very pleased with 100% real tung oil, cut with Citrus Solvent. I have a parrot and 4 cats and was worried about toxic fumes - well, for the humans too! You don't get a shiney, glossy finish, but a warm matte one and it spills really do clean up well. You have to layer several coats, but it is worth it. Since you do not want extremely dark floors, I would not stain the floors since the yellow orange color will dramatically get darker and richer and so will all the colors on the floor. I feel the floor will be richer and more beautiful and dark enough. Now if you told us you wanted very dark floors, then I would say stain them and they may get even darker. It is whatever you find beautiful. I really love the colors of Brazilian Cherry and that is why despite the darkening and color change under my furniture, it is what I have been wanting. I can't help you with finishing the floor since I never finished a floor before but I like semi-gloss and satin finishes on darker floors since high gloss on dark wood seems to show every drop of dust but that is just my opinion. Semi-gloss is my favorite finish on any hardwood floor.

Non stained concrete floor, clear finish?

We recently had the colored epoxy professionally applied to a new concrete garage floor and an on an old concrete section of the basement. It's textured for better traction. A different section of the basement was already dyed, and we used clear on it. I love the industrial look of the clear, and it's so thick and tough. It was pretty costly. The guys had to do a lot of grinding on both the new and old surfaces, and they had to come back a second time. On the (outdoor) front porch and the (indoor-ish) screen porch my husband used H&C Concrete Sealer Wet Look. It is water based, and he says it was easy to apply. It does not take a long time to dry. He thinks it looks better with a greater buildup of coats. I suppose that's because it's pretty thin, and the texture of the concrete does come through. It does look nice, but it does not provide a smooth, easy-to wash finish like epoxy. (We actually had grain added to our apoxy to make for better traction.) I haven't spilled anything major on the screen porch, so I can't address whether it blocks household stains. The front porch is uncovered, and the coats he applied in fall, 2012 are still holding up well in our Midwest climate. We have put it on both colored and undyed concrete, and it looks a little bit shinier on the undyed floor, probably because it is lighter/ If you have any specific questions, let me know and I'll ask him.

Yeah that Europe vs. USA product difference can be confusing.

Sidebonding can happen even when using a sealer, so using one doesn't absolutely guarantee that sidebonding won't occur.

Don't really know what floor you're trying to finish. If the area is for light use, then a thinner application of Traffic or Naturale might give you the result you're after and give you a finish that won't glue the boards together. Just brainstorming here.

It is red oak cabin quality parquet and also white oak parquet partly in the kitchen area , and entrance to the terrace, medium use..
Did you mean to use a solvent for the Naturale, or did you mean to apply it in a thinner layer?
And do you think we can get away without using the sealer?
Thank you for your advice and brainstorm..
