Soonergrandmom, That really "cracked" me up, ROTFL. Now I will think of your story every time I see that crack cream! Dawn, No wonder I couldn't find it at WalMart. I kept looking on the hand lotion aisle for it, and in the pharmacy where they sell the lotion for cracked heels. I thought it was because we have, believe it or not, a MINI Super Center, LOL. Meaning a small WalMart that sells groceries. I thought maybe they just didn't carry it here because the store is small, but I had also looked at the Ada WalMart and couldn't find it there either. I guess I should have just posted then, and you could have told me where to look. :) DH has been whining around all winter about his poor fingers, and nothing he tried helped until now. I personally am not a lotion type person. I just don't much like lotion even when my hands get dry. But DH really suffers in the winter and always gets cracks on the tips of his fingers. I was amazed at how fast that Zim's cream cured his fingers. I really do thank you for the tip, and Soonergrandmom, thanks so much for the laugh. :)

I had very bad calloused and cracking heels. My left heel became so bad it cracked into the flesh and hurt. I tried everything. The hour of soaking, then pumicing, and foot type emory board, and creams. Nothing I did was helping enough. I saw a demonstation of the "Microplane foot file" on QVC. Before I could order it, it was sold out. So I was put on the wait list. I just went to check for it's item number, and it's sold out again. But for future reference, on QVC the item # is v24021. It costs $15.57 plus $3.97 S&H, plus tax. Just Google "Microplane foot file" and you can find it elsewhere, if it's sold out on QVC. Anyway, this thing has been a Godsend for me. My feet haven't been this nice in YEARS! You will never end up taking off too much. I ran it over and over the spots that were cracked, and never went to far in, you will know. The calloused skin comes off into a very fine powder, inside the container. Now I just use the microplane on dry skin, and shower.

Glenda, buy yourself a Ped Egg. I used mine today because tonight I wore stockings for the first time in a couple of years. I went out to dinner and wore a new dress and I had to wear stockings. Funny thing, I met my friend at the restaurant and the parking lot was full so I parked in the lot next door. After dinner it was dark when we left so he walked me to my car. I was parked next to an alley and it was kind of dark. While we were standing there talking, a police car drove through the lot. The officer must have seen us walking in the alley and came through to see if we were doing anything illegal I guess. Maybe he was just checking to see if things were OK.

Belladom, What look are you going for? I would ignore advice from tile sales or the installer. Keep in mind tile installers want the job to be fast and easy. Their focus is on the price per job not always what will look good. Unless your tile guy/girl is a designer I would ignore comments like Crackle won't hold up, they crackle more. DUH!! You want the crackle look and they are wrong about it not holding up. If you were concerned about a tile holding up you would skip any tile and put up ugly gray cement. Tile is a way to express yourself in your kitchen. What is YOU? What do you like? DO you want a signature theme, a bit of whimsy, flash, joy, fun, silly, wild, happy, warm, inviting, color, texture, reflection.... Describe your favorite item with words. ( friendly, exciting, exotic, pure, rough, crazy, hot, chic, simple, gentle, blue, earthy, puritan...) Meanwhile here are some backsplashes in warm creamy kitchens that might help you figure out what you like. Once you know what you like then lets look for the specific tiles.
