Can you provide any photos of the critters you are seeing on your peppers? Fungus gnat larvae live in moist soil with a high percentage of organic matter. They feed on roots, generally not to the point where they cause significant damage but do not crawl around on plant parts. They won't emerge from the soil until they become adults. If you do indeed have fungus gnats, there are a lot of much easier and safer ways to control them than using a nicotine tea. In fact, you run a serious risk of infecting your peppers with TMV if you use it - ALL plants in that family (Solanaceae) are quite susceptible (tomatoes, peppers, tomatillos eggplants, etc.) as well as more from 9 other plant families for a total of about 350 different plant species. The virus is very stable and can remain active even in dried or processed tobacco products. This is why you will see 'No Smoking" signs in every commercial greenhouse - not because of human health hazards (although I'm sure that is a consideration) but because of the risk of losing a crop and the financial investment that represents to the grower. I know of greenhouse workers that were fired for smoking on the job, just for this reason!! Fungus gnats lay their eggs in moist soils so keeping things on the drier side will help considerably. You can also top each pot with a layer of coarse sand. The adult gnats won't lay their eggs on the sand as they perceive it to be an inhospitable environment for their young. You can trap the adults with vinegar or beer traps and bait for the larvae by covering the top of your post with thin slices of potato. Leave in place overnight and then discard and replace with fresh. And don't be grossed out by what you find on the reverse side of the potatoes in the morning :-)) But the best thing you can do is get those peppers outdoors and into the ground ASAP. Fungus gnats are not known to be a problem in plants grown outside in garden soil. But this is assuming that fungus gnats are the problem in the first place and I am not convinced they are. Photos are really necessary to determine exactly what's going on.

Peggy, I just got off the phone with a physicians referral service in Vero Beach and they gave me some leads to check out. If you so not mind sharing the name of your current cardiologist and your curren family doctor, i will check into the ones I was told were personally known and check them out. I also am awaiting a return call from our cardiologist here in Orlando to see if he knows of anyone in your area. I am working on this and glad you have an appointment for a second opinion on the meds. I am very happy that you are crying. It is a good sign and it is something you have needed to do for a long time. I am sorry that I do not know the circumstances surrounding the loss of your daughter, but I do know that God never gives us more than we can handle though we do not always believe it. God has the ability to instantly perform a miracle as he has done for me with an ovarian turmor that he caused to disappear, but a lot of time it is how we handle the adverse things that come our way that he uses for his glory and he rewards us for our faith. Journal writing is one of the most emotional and relaxing and inexpensive therapys around. I am serious about sitting down and writing a letter to your daughter to tell her how much you miss her, how much you love her, what you miss about her nothing being around, talk about some of the wonderful memories you have and tell her how you feel. Write a letter to your living daughter and express your disappointment, anger, frustration, love, everything. Write a letter to God telling him about your anger that he did not save your daughter. It is okay to tell God you are angry. In the beginning those writings will be angry and full of bad words, etc but as the emotions begin to lessen as tears fall and fall and fall you will begin to write calmer and as you continue to write you will begin to learn about yourself and the depth of your faith in God. I have had to do that numerous times and have volumes of journals. I am not proud of some of the things I have written but they were necessary for my healing and they helped me heal. They helped me learn about myself, and they brought me oh so much closer to God. When I feel my blood pressure going up I begin writing and in the end I am emotionally drained, exhausted and sleep the best I have ever slept because everything I had been mulling over in my mind and holding inside had been let out. You do need your meds regulated and if they suggest placing you in the hospital for a few days to wean you off meds and begin new ones then please do it. Meds can screw up your life as my husband is discovering and as I discovered years ago. I no longer blindly take meds without knowing everything about them and I discuss each one, side effects, etc with my doctor before leaving the office and then discuss any concerns with the pharmacist. Japanese Group Converts Due to Quran Miracle According to al-Jazeera newspaper of Saudi Arabia, a Japanese research group who were investigating the chemical changes occurring within a special protein in human brain was astonished when it received the research findings of Dr. Ibrahim Khalifah, a Muslim physician who had investigated the issue in accordance with the Quran. All the group members converted as a consequence. While the group was working on mythalonids, a protein produced in human and animal brains, they found out there must be a relationship between the substance and olive and fig, two fruits to which Allah (swt) has taken an oath in the holy Quran, al-Jazeera reported. Mythalonids is an important substance for the human body which can reduce the blood cholesterol level and increase heart function ability and self-confidence. They kept studying until they received (completely by an accident) a letter from Dr. Ibrahim Khalifah in which he had explained the findings of his investigations on olive and fig in the Quran.
