magnet........

Does anyone know where I can get a car magnet that says "I Have A Son In Heaven"? My hair dresser was given one because her son died last fall. She told me about it yesterday, but can't remember where the lady got it. She knew that I would like one, since I also lost a son. It's my understanding that they have them for daughter's, mother's, father's etc. I am serching the internet but so far have not come up with anything. They are in the shape of a crossed ribbon and have a halo and wings on them. Vique.

Was it like this one?

I'm sorry you lost your son. I have two sons and cannot
imagine what a crushing loss that must be. Take care.

I've had this Delta for 10 years or so and it uses the weight. Properly set and adjusted it works the same as the day it was new. Had a minor problem and Delta was kinda of a PITA to deal with cause the CSR had poor product knowledge so hard to explain what I needed and she wouldn't escalate to a supervisor but I've read that lots of people are real happy with Delta customer service. For products that are meant to last a long time I'm disappointed that some commonly needed Delta parts are NLA for other Delta fixtures I have that aren't really all that old but I guess that is the way it is today... just buy a complete new one for $75 when a $2 gasket would resolve the problem. Magnetic stainless fridge?
Q

There is no such thing as Medical grade stainless. 304 is for general use in the austenitic (non magnetic) 300 series of stainless. Surgical stainless is usually 316 or 316L grade but there is no designated medical grade . 304 and 308Lis usually used in the food industry when food is in direct contact with the metal. All pot and pans are in the 300 family of stainless. (take a magnet when shopping for stainless cook wear to see if you're getting screwed.) A refrigerator that is magnetic uses metal from the Ferritic 400 series of stainless and are usually 409 or 430 grade and cheaper. If you find a domestic retail refrigerator which isn't magnetic it's 300 series stainless, expensive and unnecessary. I've used enough 300 series stainless to fabricate food processing equipment in the food industry and know a thing or two about the stuff.

closet door hinges and magnetic closet door closures

I would use regular hinges for the new, solid doors as they can handle more weight and will hold up for years without needing adjustment compared to things like Euro hinges in this application. You don't need more than three hinges. Your new doors may already come with the hinge mortises completed. In any case, it's unlikely that that the holes in the new hinges will line up with the existing holes in the jambs. As for catches, quality ball catches that are adjustable will work fine. Cheap, nonadjustable ball catches are a poor choice, and that is probably where your bad experience comes from. I have ball catches on a pair of doors into my laundry and my two pantries. They're 20+ years old and still function effortlessly. This is the type of design you want where the ball can be screwed up or down for a good fit: Adjustable ball catch

I saw some of the others you mentioned (daughter, etc.) on e-bay, so if you cannot find them let me know and I'll see if I can find them again.

These may be available in some stores, but I don't know where.

I'm glad I made somebody happy. :-)

I just have to know how you got that on e-bay. When I was looking, I googled, yahood and e-bayed and couldn't find anything like what I wanted. I used magnet, I used I have a son in heaven magnet, I used I have a son in heaven, I used car magnet, then I did the other ones and added car magnet, nothing. Every time I look at it, I will not only remember Brian, I will also remember the person who found the ribbon for me. Thanks again, Vique.
