Get another opinion from a dentist and an ortho.

I know I could go to many more consults, but they cost a lot of money just to have them look, so since I want to think the matter over. I am asking for people's personal experiences. If you did this, did the bottom teeth stay straight or not after treatment. I need to get input from others before I blinded waltz off and spend a mint, only to find the tooth goes crooked again.

I have one moving on mine and it is a front tooth. The dentist said there is nothing that can be done without braces and I am a bit to old to go that route.

I think this is something only a dentist can answer. If you can't afford a consultation how will you pay for having it fix if it is possible.

I never said I could not afford a consult, I only mentioned they are expensive. Stop reading things into my words. I explained I would do it but first I want to think about it.

How long have your braces been off? You can see if the dentist will insert a permanent retainer behind your bottom teeth. When I got my braces off in my late 30s, that's what he did. From what I hear, nowadays, many orthodontists put in a permanent bottom retainer.

Teeth have memory and will always continue to move back to their original state which is why I wear my upper retainer EVERY night. With the bottom permanent retainer, they can not move - ever.

BTW, the permanent bottom retainer is behind the teeth in case you wondered.

I read online on a forum that someone posted that it was hard to keep the bottom straight so I am determining the feasibility of the project keeping the bottom teeth straight before embarking on a costly venture. What if I did and it goes crooked again? I would welcome personal experience input.

I don't want permanent retainer. I had them off as kid, so now, like 30 years ago. I just hope that one tooth, if I do nothing won't go more crooked then it is now. It is hard to find a good ortho in the San Francisco bay area. I was at one for a consult about new retainers, but he was not willing to make them for me. He said, I would just be too lazy to wear them and it was pointless. But, I would like a second opinion.

My teeth are moving because I have spaces where teeth used to be. I am lucky they waited this long to start moving. Gum diseases will also cause teeth to move. I take very good care of my gums, but it could still be the problem. The dentist did not think so.

I can give one tip to you.We humans have a very bad habit of touching area in mouth which is infected or causing issue, this habit creates a problems and one of my friend who is dentist also told me that this habit leads the teeth grow in unusual shape..

So if you are doing this mistake than do stop it, else it could rotate the teeth even more.

Regular dental check up is needed to maintain and keep our teeth strong, healthy and in good form. Wearing dental braces is good way to correct our teeth and bite. You have to follow the dentist instructions. I once wear braces at least twice a year I have my teeth cleaning and check up.
