That sounds like a lymph gland doing what it is supposed to do. If you've been having sinus trouble i'll bet you have an infection. I'd get to a doctor and get an antibiotic. Lymph glands are all over your body, and there are quite a few in the neck area. When you have an infection anywhere the lymph glands try to rid the body of the infection and gather it in, so they swell.

Hugs to all of you who are suffering. My knee that I broke is hurting because I am not walking like I used to because of the weather. I broke it slipping on ice and am not about to do that again just to get exercise. Going up and down the basement stairs to do laundry just about did me in because of the knee pain. I have swollen glands under my arms right now too that are a litte painful. Lydia, I know about that ovary pain and I am 51! I guess I will take it because all my friends are going through Menopause and are suffering more than I am. LOL Carol, let me tell you a little story about what happens when you swallow those raisins whole. LOLOL When my little niece Jennifer (now 34) was a toddler she ate some raisins. I had her on the change table the next day changing her diaper and she passed a little gas and out came a really plump looking golden grape. I was kind of shocked because she hadn't eaten any grapes then I remembered the bowl or raisins. LOL That little tiny raisin rehydrated itelf and came out as a grape. LOL I make sure I alway chew my raisins now. Poor Jenny will never live that story down. Anne

After reading these posts I decided the Free Country jacket/coat may work for me. I had bought a new coat from Penney's last fall since my 13-year-old doubled fleece hoody; and my 15-year-old -40 rated parka could use some help between the two extremes. I went to Kohl's to check out the Free Country coats. The selection was picked over, but I then realized I was wearing my new coat - and it was a Free Country, size 2X. The one I got at Penney's back in October. Did I feel silly or what? I am 5'1" and very plump. This coat is a normal length 2X; so it comes below mid-thigh on me - and I love the length. It has a full, wide hood (not removable) that can easily cover a hat or cap along with my XL brain box! :) The coat is reversible, water resistant on one side, and fuzzy fleece on the other. There are two roomy pockets on each side plus a zippered chest pocket on the slick side. This description is from Penney's web site, and the coat is now $20 less than what I paid for mine. You don't have to snap it all the way up. There soft fleece inside and you can leave the neck opening as small or large as you wish. ... It's roomy; easy on and off (if I'm not wearing fleece sweaters ) and really blocks the wind. There is a zipper closing under the snap-shut storm flap.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to give me your advise. Last night I continued with pedialyte and he ate some more. This morning his appetite seems to be getting better. He's still somewhat lethargic and still limping noticeably but less than yesterday. He's eating canned food, but noticed his gums are somewhat pale, is that normal? He's still getting pain medicine and his wound isn't swollen . It seems like he's getting better but just worried about his gums.
