I have several different Panicum cultivars in my garden, including a couple of the ones you list. I seldom cut them down in the fall. Occasionally, a heavy wet snow or an ice storm will lay them low, in which case, I cut them down right away, but most years they all survive the winter intact and upright. It all depends upon your weather. It won't bother the grass to be cut down any time after dormancy sets in. Spacing is a personal choice. If you planted these three within 2 feet of each other, they will be joined at the top in 2-3 years. I wouldn't plant 3 different cultivars together, but if I did, they would be at least 3-4 feet apart. A single cultivar of ornamental grass is a specimen, and needs to stand alone from other grasses.

Take this for what its worth from someone who has little practical experience but has been absorbing everything written about tomatoes for quite awhile now. I could have written your post above word for word. Depending on where in PA you are, we may be neighbors (I'm in Northern Delaware), so similar weather conditions. I have the mysterious wilt that appears out of nowhere and takes down a portion of the plant. I also have those yellow leaves that go from green to pure yellow without EB and other leaves filled with EB. And they aren't exclusive to the bottom portion of the plant. Plus those leaves that hollow out the middle of the plant that ultimately turn brown and crispy with no lesions. Straight up the middle. Wilt that occurs during the heat of the day and they goes away by morning. My thoughts on my garden and perhaps they apply to yours: My tomatoes are planted 3 feet apart in 18 inch diameter 7 foot tall remesh cages. They get 7-9 hours of sunlight. And they've grown between 4-10 feet tall. There's a canopy of greenery when I walk through. Even though there is adequate sun time, I'm not convinced that the plants are getting enough sun due to each other shading the other. I'm guessing that that may be why the centers are yellowing and turning crispy. And possibly why they are stunting and wilting (in some cases) I have explored the different wilts for hours online and in reference books. And my plants just don't fit the profiles. I also can't figure out watering. Seems like such a simple thing. But darn it, I can't figure out if they are thristy, quenched, or drowning. And forget suggesting a water meter--I have 2 of them and I'm still confused. I go back and forth between frustration and thoughts of never doing this again (grin) and total joy last night to discover that my first Black from Tula has a blush! Oh, and my soil was thoroughly enriched in the fall and spring with a dump truck load of mushroom soil/compost and a whole bunch of bunny poop and I'm still seeing the same thing you are. So I don't think it is a nutritional problem. I am planning on spacing my plants out further next year in order to increase air flow and decrease the shading that the plants impart to the others. And again, although it could be bacterial or viral, if your plants are like mine, they don't match up well with the fusarium, verticulum, TMV, or bacterial wilts. I've been using Daconil every 7-10 days and while it is controlling the septoria (I got it on 3 plants) and the EB, I'm still getting the pure yellowing leaves up the center (and outside) and the wilting so then it can't be fungal. So, yes, it is a humungous post, and no I'm not answering your question, but you are not alone. ;o) Christine

Sounds like what you want is wood. We have installed our own, it is fairly easy and you can rent the tools to make it simple. I even finished ours and it turned out great. If money is the issue, many places have lower grades. For our Sunroom/gameroom and backdoor entry room we used a lower grade of oak flooring because I wanted it to appear a little older, I wanted character and I liked how it looked, not so perfectly matchy matchy with color and grain. I surprisingly got many wonderful grain variations, some birds eye, some burled- just really beautiful. I think we paid 99 cents a sq ft. We bought extra because we knew we would have some that were not satisfactory but the flooring cost very little, mainly it was just time and labor.

This phrase jumped out at me... "My husband loves me very much I know and would do anything to get me back" First off, what in the world makes you think your husband loves you very much? If he has abused you to the point of literally "driving you crazy" he probably does not love you at all. Of course he would 'do anything to get you back'...he is a control freak and wants to control you, that does NOT mean he loves you. Do you have any idea what your husband's personality disorder is? Borderline, Narcissistic, something else? If he is willing to and can get help for that...either through counseling or medication, you may have a shot, but this is really a problem that he needs to get fixed for himself. I know I've mentioned this on other posts, but be very cautious of marriage counseling. Your main problem isn't your marriage...it is his personality disorder and it should be addressed separately, probably with a psychiatrist. I've heard of many instances where abusers actually abuse, lie and degrade in marriage counseling sessions (many counselors are clueless) and also where these clueless counselors suggest even more control is given to the controller...which can back fire big time. Obviously, you may want to seek help or talk to someone too, but please don't be sucked into a bad counseling situation with your husband. His problem needs to be addressed and 'fixed' first and then you can work on your marriage. Obviously, I don't know how bad it is, but if "he" truly drove you to the point of a mental breakdown, I would think it's probably good riddance. Love may conquer all, but sadly I'm not seeing that he loves you.
