Oh helen I don't have a small lawn. It takes me 2 hours to mow and the trim etc after that. I just don't want it in my lawn, growing across and trying to mow. It isn't something I planted so not something I want. Would be fine if she took care of it, trim it back from other peoples lawn. We are in town not the country where she has some sprawling acreage to let it roam. I know I sound bad but I really like my lawn to look nice and be a pleasant and clean place for my family and my self to enjoy the outdoors togather. Sort of the same thing with my mother. She loves honeysuckle, She has it growing in several areas. That is fine . She cuts back what she doesn't want to get out of hand and it is in her area. I on the other hand could only stand for it to be in a contained area. so hence I will do my best not to plant something that is going to bring me trouble down the line or cause someone else to have to deal with something they didn't plant or choose to have in their lawn. Michael, I don't know the reasons why but I can tell you in the past that I know several folks who have been banned for mentioning other message sites or linking to them. As I said above I did ask again, I think it was right before Xmas, with a message to admin if that was still the case and never did get a reply to my message. It's the only site I know of where the mention of another message site OR linking to one, can result in a problem. Since GW is a huge site it means that Mods are have a lot of areas to cover. So to be on the safe side I don't mention other message sites, nor link to them, nor transfer to here threads from other sites, although as you know I can do that elsewhere with no problem. It was this way when I first came to GW in about 2000 when Spike still owned GW and I have learned nothing to the contrary since then. And as I said, I did try to find out about the current situation with no luck. Carolyn

I first grew Grandpa Ott back in 2003: This resulted in yearly volunteers that have popped up everywhere through to this year. LOL It might look interesting with the thunbergia. You could give it a shot. Would be interesting to see. Thunbergia has bloomed much earlier in its vine life than the MGs so they can fill a blank until your MGs get started.

My husband went to visit him and asked him for the 3rd time to please stop driving and gambling all of his money away. Grandpa went completely bezerk this time and told him he doesn't want to talk about it anymore. He said we will not tell him what to do and he will drive and now he is even going to gamble away more money. He said he is also changing his will. Then he lunged for him to try to choke him and threw him out. He has loaded guns. This is so awful. We are trying to get him in to see his doctor this week. The nurse said she will call him and tell him something to get him there. Any ideas here of what we should do? We are trying to get medical power attorney and get him some drugs to calm him down. If we have medical power of attorney how will this help? Is the only solution a nursing home? My son thinks we are just delaying the problem and he will still have to go to a NH because he will never give up any control. Please help. We already have financial power of attorney . He needs a pill and not be allowed to give any more money away. We visited a nursing home today and it was an awful one. We think it's sad because physically he can take care of himself pretty good, but if he is mentally unstable it cancels out his good physical condition. geesh Maybe we can give him a pill to control his rage. But how do we get him to take it? Then after he is medicated maybe we could get the car and guns. Then do we need medical power of attorney and financial power of attorney to keep him from spending all his money? It sounds like we need a lawyer. Thanks for ANY help. We are just at our wit's end here. Rebecca Albreit
