Established outdoor Gardenia massive leaf yellowing and drop?
Comments (2)I had the same thing happen to my gardenia in the summer. Put a little sulphate to make it more acidic and it has been fine ever since. Yes, I think that concrete is too alkaline for it. My daughter had some planted near her front concrete porch and they never did anything. Don't remeber the name of the stuff i put on it. Will go to the greenhouse and let you know tomorrow. gardenias like to be on the acidic side....See MoreEco Friendly Pest (roach) Control
Comments (2)We had a sever roach problem that no exterminator in the area could control. Diatomaceous earth took care of them. They also stopped the fleas, scorpions and most all other bugs inside and out side the house....See Morespringtails and malathion
Comments (4)These things are so hard to get rid of. I've suffered a severe infestation for almost two months now..in my bed, couches, everywhere. They crawl around in my hair and under my clothes. The second exterminator I called used permethrin which only upset them and they got really aggressive. He sprayed it twice, too! Then he used Tempo which seems to have slowed them down considerably. I'm doing everything I can, too. Keep the humidity low..between 40-50%, seal every possible crack in the foundation, make sure doors and windows are tight. In the basement you can sprinkle borax powder everywhere. When they walk in it, they clean their feet and legs. The borax dehydrates them and they die. Baby powder works on window sills and in or around beds. Control them now or suffer like I have. They are awful. They don't bite, but their little tails feel like stickers when they move around on you....See Morehow did you plan for TERMITES?
Comments (8)Have you considered the Whole House Treatment Concept? I live in an area that's highly prone to termite infestation. Therefore, I'm building most of my house with Yellawood products which is treated with micronized copper preservatives. Its termite and rot resistant. Using Yellawood for whole house framing is becoming more and more popular. However, before framing can begin, you must let the lumber air dry until the moisture content is 19% or less, or you could purchase Kiln dried lumber but thats more expensive. Also, Yellawood isn't as corrosive to fasteners as other pressure treated products are. Other options are also available such as Borate treated lumber.
