Does anyone have experience with Murphy Beds?
Comments (2)Our neighbor recently got one. We're getting one from the same company and we'll be using our own queen sized mattress. The frame comes in 2 boxes, owner assembles. The front piece is just one piece...it's the box that needs assembling. Took our neighbor about 2 hrs. and that included anchoring it to the wall. Manufacturer is Bedder-Way out of Indiana. Quality is solid wood, either Oak or Maple. You can get different molding, the company will cut the upright pieces to fit around your floor moldings. We absolutely love the quality. Comments (5)We have had our Saatva Plush Soft King for only about a week but so far we do love this mattress. Company was very easy to deal with and they have an excellent reputation for returns if not satisfied. Pricing is very good and with return policy all you have to lose is the delivery fee even if you want to return for refund. Very hard to test a mattress properly in a store anyway. We don't know if long term the mattress will hold up but even if it only lasts 5 years it is a good bargain....See MoreDoes anyone have experience with Sarto doors? I have a mid century mod
Comments (5)We have a set of Sartodoor double barn boors and a set of matching french doors from United Porte. They look gorgeous and go up pretty straight forward. However, the vinyl wrapping on one of the doors is bubbling/separating from the wood and the other came with the vinyl cracked/torn in an area. While they are sending us new doors, it still makes me wonder about the longevity of them. We also got the silk white color and while it is very clean looking and silky, they get dirty from the slightest touch of even a 'clean' hand. Further, they're not paintable, according to Sartodoor so we're stuck with cleaning them as much as we can but some dirt smudges are pretty much permenent; like pencil marks from measurements during install. Some of those pencil marks got worked into the pores of the vinyl and are permanent stains now. The door frame and trim is also vinyl wrapped and not paintable. So, screw and nail holes aren't really able to be caulked because the caulk turns yellow and dingy when not painted and the vinyl isn't paintable. We did paint a section of the inner door jamb where some sharpy marks and extra holes where made after mis measuring hinge screw holes. With Kilz, the vinyl did take some Behr trim paint. However, it is easily scratched off with your fingernail. Fortunately, the painted section is high and in the jamb where it's not touched. Don't get me wrong, they're great doors especially for the price. But if given the choice again, I'd go with something paintable, not vinyl wrapped....See MoreDoes anyone have experience with Leadstone Quartz?
Comments (6)Sure Joseph, that’s understood. The question is, is this Chinese product inferior under normal use? It looks great but I want something durable that will look just as good 7-9 years from now....See Morejrdwyer
