Hello all the grill is natural gas. I tried burning it on low heat an it will stay lit for ever but if I turn it to med low the fire on the burner will go out, but raw gas will still be flowing just no flame. any ideas? I called the Brinkmann company and they said they will send me a new regulator but I tried to find the regulator but could not find one on my BBQ maybe they think I have a propane BBQ also

OK. Thank you. I fixed it. Turned out there were probably two contributing problems. The gas valve had some debris in it, which apparently, prevented the valve from opening fully when the button was pushed. That made it harder for the magnet (is the valve really held magnetically by the thermocouple current?) to hold the valve open. That, in combination with a weak thermocouple could not keep the valve open. I replaced the thermocouple and things got better, the valve was holding but only some of the time. Once I cleaned the debris from the valve, then it held every time. So my "energy star" heater is working again! (better take those photos down, the Al Gore bounty hunters are probably already hot on my trailÂ)

The ignitor comes on, oven lights after apron three min's, but then the ignitor & gas turn off. I am thinking that it might be the rheostat behind the temp switch that is causing an open circuit? Any thoughts on this? I have had this range since 2004, and have replaced two ignitors for the grill, due to miss-handling on my part. The grill is used at least once a day, sometimes twice, every day, I have burned through three burners for the grill. Then I did a repair on the part of the burner that burns out by the ignitor. I cut out the melted stainless in an area about 2" x 4" , by the ignitor, formed a piece of Hasteloy, ( used for exhaust on jet engines hot areas), welded in the patch, and drilled out the holes to match the original. This repair has lasted over 4 years, and still works great, before this repair I replaced the grill burner every 18 months.

I have a Belfires Room divider gas fireplace, it has been running for 4 years with no problem. Recently, when I turn it on it works for 10-15mins and shutdown completely. I have changed the Thermocouple, cleaned the pilot and changed the reciever and the main gas valve on the outisde of the house. The gas pressure is as indicated. When it starts the pilot is strong, blue and engolves the Thermocouple but when the burner kicks in, the pilot starts drifting away from the thermocouple. What could be the problem?
