This is absolutely fascinating! I'm hooked! I grew up on a farm, so the real animal drama is not something new to me -but I do hate to see anything suffer. I think you are right, there will be more to teach the little ones how to hunt. The re-gifted rabbit I missed also. I think it was late PST time - I had already had gone to bed. I did see quite a few mice being brought for dinner. I checked out some of the other Live Animal cams - there is an African waterhole cam where you can supposedly see lions and elephants, a Key West fish cam - and a hummingbird nest cam. Who needs The Tudors and Nurse Jackie when you have animal cam! ;-)

muphasta, Thank you so much for doing this!!! I'm spending far too much time watching her - to the detriment of my landscaping chores. Looks like a wet and breezy day, but she's hangin' in there. She's such a good Mom! I can see you have the chimes stabilized with a hook. Can't wait 'til she starts feeding the babies!!

Oh, I forgot to add that there is a short commercial that plays before the live webcam view begins.

The eggs may hatch as early as next Monday........I don't want to miss this as I have never seen a baby hummingbird. The questionn and answer section said the nest is the size of a golf ball, and the eggs are the size of tic-tacs......that she has four nests in this rose bush, and has been there for several years. Very interesting!!!!
