cat urine stain/odor on hardwood floor
Comments (7)Urine off is suppose to be a very good product. All the products like Urine off may have to be reapplied a few times if it is really bad. Very important to pour a lot of the product on so it will soak. Must air dry. Many people put plastic over it so the product doesn't evaporate. Should be soaking for as many hours as possible. These products don't work within a half hour. Nature's Miracle is also highly rated. Same principle as Urine off. If you have used Urine Off correctly and tried in a few times, try another product like Nature's Miracle. It is actually more important to get rid of the odor. Depending on a number of factors, you may or may not get rid of the stain. If the stain is only on your hardwood finish, sanding will remove it. If the stain goes down to the wood, it would have to be sanded and then try these products again. Last resort, use wood bleach or replace the boards....See MoreCat urine odor
Comments (1)Try Nature's Miracle. It works by enzymatic action. Put some in a spray bottle and spray every couple days until the smell is gone, Enzyme cleaners may work slowly but they do get rid of the smell instead of covering it up. Lisa...See MoreHow to Get Urine Smell out of porous Cement?
Comments (11)Holy Dog Urine.....that was fast! Are you all always this prompt when helping with Pet questions? If so, no need for me to ever go hunting and pecking all over the internet when I have a question/problem with any of my fur and feathered babes....I'll just come directly here! Cynthia, Ok, about the Lime...do you mean actual citrus lime? As in, juice? If so, then I'm in business as my neighbor has a lime tree and the limes are always dropping all over her yard and mine because she doesn't do anything with them. If not the citrus lime, what kind do you mean? Joepyeweed, Does Simple Solution have a decent scent? Normally I wouldn't care as long as I could get the old urine smell out of the area but since it's a place to relax I don't want another nasty scent added to the mix. Although, it can't be near as bad as some of the solutions I've tried already. lol Does Simple Solutions come in a concentrate so that I can mix up a garden pump sprayer of it for the week? I'll tell ya both...I had nooo idea old, dried dog urine could smell so bad when it's been dampened with hose water. My gosh, it was infiltrating into the house a whole double garage space away from it. You are both great for taking the time to read my question and respond, and so fast. Thank you both!...See MoreWill painting a basement concrete floor seal in cat urine smell?
Comments (5)It's a tough one. Is there a primer on the market that works to block odors and also is suitable for use on a concrete floor? I don't know of one. Kilz and BIN are the only primers I know will work on cat pee, but they are not rated for floors, so they will peel eventually. I guess I would clean them, see how that works, and then use the primer as a last resort....See MoreKimberlyinva
