hey susie i also found some vaughan-bassett furniture that i was thinking of ordering. i found the best price at colemanfurniture.com. but, i typed in vaughan-bassett reviews on google and was less than pleased with the results. although the furniture is stylish and at a good price-point, i think i would rather wait and purchase something that cost a little more but last alot longer. have you actually seen the pieces in person that you will be purchasing? suzanne

Smith bros far exceeds Bassett quality. That said I did buy a smith bros chair and the upholstery was a mess. I had letters from two upholsters stating the fabric was not aligned correctly. Unfortunately the store I purchased from wouldn't back me. I had to return the chair to them...delivered it to their show room...and do a cc chargeback. That said I would buy Smith Bros again, just not from the same furniture store.

Hi Sue, Posted yesterday but evidently it did not update. I purchased a dresser and nightstand from the Grandma's Keepsakes collection, solid maple. Both pieces are well-made and heavy for the price. They are in a guest room so have not had any use at all since they were moved to my new place in January. I believe that they are good quality for the price range. The are not in the Mobel/Tom Seely class, but well worth it to me. Good luck, C.

Okay. like someone else said, I rarely waste my time on writing reviews. Most of the time I am A. Either able to overlook minor nuances that come with furniture purchases, or B. Not severely disappointed because I didn’t pay out much in the first place, and lastly I just don’t experience letdowns that prompt me to write a review…But…. This purchase has been different. The Beckham sofa was comfortable for two weeks, after that the deterioration began rapidly. The cushions sank, I mean everything you read about this sofa is true. To their credit someone came and replaced the cushions, but honestly, it’s the frame that obviously is defective; it still sinks in. I mean 2 weeks????? I paid $2800 since it was a good sale so although I am bitter I am not out of as much as some people. But still, I just as well could have bought from another mainstream furniture company, and not have been so brand-fixated. And my furniture would have at least had a longer life. My sisters leather match $1700 sectional has held up better than this couch and it’s older. Embarrassing! Guests avoid sitting on the couch because it’s so uncomfortable.
