Our cleaning crew uses Bona on our engineered wood floor every two weeks. We live on the oceanfront in Hawai‘i and always assumed the white scum showing every footprint was due to salt in the air. Yesterday, my wife tried to clean it with Bona, and it looked worse! Today, I tried using a well-wrung out sponge mop with plain water and dried it with a bath towel. It looked slightly better, but had streaks. I then got down on my hands and knees and washed with plain water and a well wrung-out towel and dried with another towel. The floor looks beautiful and shiny again, it does not show footprints, and the bottoms of our feet aren't brown. BTW, my hands felt as if they had been in Elmer's glue when I finishted, and I am nursing sore knees. We'll never again use Bona on the floor!

It is the same formulation. You can purchase a case of them and save a bundle. It also comes in a one gallon size concentrate...can you imagine your savings with that? Simply fill up a 4 oz bottle, pour that into the 32 oz spray bottle and you're ready to go. Many of my customers buy the gallon size concentrate from me and do just that. The gallon jug is, well,...a gallon jug size. Might not store in your broom closet easily though. Go to the Bona site and look up a dealer who sells Bona maintenance products in your area. I have a similar situation as OP we used Nordic Seal followed by MegaOne finish. We definitely were misinformed about the Nordic Seal applicaiton and did not put on enough sealant the first time around. This left us with some nasty patchy spots here and there. Fortunately the majority of the floor turned out really nice, but we are not very excited aboiut the pictured spots which unfortunately ended up right in the middle of the hallway and super noticable. Our sealant is the white tinted seal. We have tried to lightly scuff the finish and then reapply some white sealant to match the color but we are having a tough time blending it in. The white seems to need a lot to look the same tint and if you overlap any spots where the white is already fine then it keeps getting whiter and you can tell its layered up. Given the cost to rent the machines again, re-doing the entire floor is something we would like to avoid at all costs. I have read the above comments about sanding down to wood, but should we be concerned about potentitally damaging other parts of the floor that area already in good shape? Any advice would be much appreciated! thanks.

I wasn't correcting that. I was making sure you know that Bona Naturale needs to have a sealer underneath. I've seen others here claim it was used AS a sealer. Having the name Naturale is a bit confusing when Bona has a Naturalseal, and natural is a generic term for a wood floor finished clear. It looks like I was mistaken in that Naturalseal is between Nordicseal and Classicseal. I had Bonaseal (since changed names to Classicseal) and Bona urethane on my master bedroom White oak for many years. It's a nice background color but it isn't exactly warm or overly interesting. That can be a good or a bad thing. In my case, I wanted a background floor that didn't clash with anything, allowing me to decorate as I wished. Since you've seen the lightest option and the middle option, perhaps it would be smart to see the Intenseseal or Amberseal. OTOH, if you really like the Classicseal, maybe you should stop looking. It seems like things were easier to accomplish when there weren't so many options.
