Portable Chair for Handicapped Person - Help!

sailcloth

My dad was tall and my mom is small. In fact, my elderly

mother is 5ft and probably weighs 95lbs.

She has the usual motorized recliner lift chairs. I purchased

two for her. As you know, these chairs are large and heavy.

She uses several handicapped assist devices to sit and stand

with less effort. Even though she is a small woman, I need

a portable chair with a seat large enough to accomodate these

devices. At a minimum the seat should be 22ý" wide and 19"

deep.

I thought I knew what to buy. Chairs designed for patios, decks,

etc., are usually oversized. In fact, I have found a couple of

chairs in local stores that would be perfect. The problem is

they're only sold in sets. Like two chairs, a loveseat, and a

table.

Believe it or not, Walmart's website has an incredibly nice all wood

chair that might be large enough. Only the overall dimensions are

listed. I contacted Walmart and they gave me the URL for the

manufacturer. I e-mailed them. No reply.

Can someone help me find a decent portable chair with a seat

large enough for my mother and her handicapped equipment?

(Please, don't suggest a bariatric chair. Some of these chairs are

fourty or fifty inches wide! They're made for hugely obese people.)
