New Bedroom Furniture

I am looking for new bedroom furniture. What are your thoughts about getting 2 master chests instead of 1 master chest or tall chest and a double/triple dresser? I was thinking that two chests would be more versatile in that I could arrange furniture in several ways or, in the event of downsizing, two chests would be easier to fit in most bedrooms.

I have no thoughts, but you might run the idea by the people in Home Decorating, who are very good at this sort of thing.

Bertz3, many sets cme with a five or more drawer chest and a media chest or a mule/gentleman's chest. I prefer a mix rather than two matching pieces.

Then again you will be the one seeing your furniture not me, so take my advice under consideration but make yourself happy first.

Well, you know, I am peeved. Once upon a time, not all that many years ago, the appliance manufacturers kept upgrading their appliances with extra little features to entice consumers to buy their brand. Now, something like a flipping egg tray is considered an option? You can hardly find a unit without the stupid icemaker but they remove things like humidity crispers and egg trays evidently to keep their production costs down. The next thing you know, they'll ask if you want to order the condenser option! More bells and whistles every year, like tv sets in the door.........but take out all the things you need for an appliance to hold and keep food. geesh. Thanks for the heads up, Jazz. I guess Frigidaire doesn't even make egg trays as an option. Although the English models seem to have them standard. They evidently still believe in egg trays. rofl. I'll measure the inside of my fridge doors, Jazz and Di and see if these could fit. Bless your hearts both of you. This is from the lady who could conceivably have fifty dozen eggs at once, LOL. I even had a seperate egg fridge for a long time. I don't reuse the cartons, as a lot of my customers bring back their old cartons when they buy fresh eggs, and um some of them are the worse for wear, and icky. Nice plastic egg trays for my own use....... I can wash in soapy water. Hey Andie.......I still have two record players. One of them needs the speed belt worked on, when I get time.

Texas Rawhyde...It sounds like you are going more for a transitional design. You might want to post more inspirational pictures to give the designers a clearer direction of your taste. Stay close to this posting as feedback is essential. Items you are interested in, give information and pics as Houzzers will immediately let you know if it works or not for your room. Also, different sites will be directed on purchases of artwork, furniture, lighting, bedding, window coverings, etc. Good luck, as you have the best designers help your vision become a reality. Remember that it takes time and patience.

The chest & dresser just looks so expected (& boring).

For a newly married couple. Bedroom interior is integral thing so i usually recommend to my friends to seek services from bedroommyplacewithstyle. com because i found there services simply awesome.

I bought the Thomasville reinventions bedroom set last year and have a tall drawer chest and the media chest, which is taller and narrower than a dresser so kind of like having two chests. I really like them and the flexibility to arrange. I put the mirror above the media chest. We have lots of drawer space, but we share each chest because one has tall drawers, and the other has shorter drawers. We also each have a nightstand, which has a good deal of drawer space. I'm really happy with this purchase. Finally made a good choice! Now if I could only find bedding that I love...

Honestly I will never suggest any one to go and buy from this and that stores and these stuffs. That was the old time when our grand parents and parents were used to buy furniture once for their whole life. Now it is a new era and every one wants to change the settings of the place where they are living. So I think we should become designer at our own rather than to spend money on this type of ordinary stuff. If you are looking for two-chest type of accessories than it is quite easy to go for home made or old mattresses. Learn ideas instead of buying them. I am used to extract creative information through http://www.bedroommyplacewithstyle.com/ and YouTube videos and apply them at my own. I am saving half of money in this way.

It might be worth it to hire a decorator for a few hours to help you choose what would look best in your room. A few hundred dollars can be money well spent.
