Sensuede is a marketing name for a Microfibre. All microfibres are not the same, if you are looking for a fabric that will clean easily than go for a microfibre that is made up of mostly polyester, as this will not stain. Ones of Nylon can, after any stain repellant has worn off. In the case of a poly Microfibre it cannot, due to its cell structure composed of plastic. Stains will repel or go right thru not attaching to the fiber itself. The issue of it stretching is I believe due to the cushion, not so much the fabric, unless the fabric was not backed at all. Microfibre does stretch, but a good Microfibre will have a backing on it to help eliminate this problem. Also like leather, microfibre is a very soft and drapeable material, it will follow the lines of the cushions and fill so any creases or softening will appear more exaggerated than any other regular fabric that is thicker and not smooth on top. Go for the innerspring cushion, it will help make that cushion last longer over time helping suppress the softening which occurs on any foam cushion just depending on the density and weight of the foam used by the manufacturer.

oh my ! I love your choices. and i agree about the recommended. have you been to spoonflower yet? If nothing else you can design or have someone else do it and they will print, and maybe sales of it will pay for what you ordered. i can't keep the whole catalog, but here are a few i got for ohters projects. with this they have a lot like this under fairy taleoh how could i forget this? i better go or i will do this all night!

FYI. If you have children or pets or expect to use this sofa a lot I would consider one or a combination of the “Crypton” fabrics. These fabrics are especially constructed to repel stains,dirt, etc. and are easy to clean up and wear like iron. There is a huge variety of choices—tweeds, linens, even prints—and the pricing starts around $15 per yard. I first heard about it on Laurel Bern’s decorating blog—the Westchester County interior designer—and she raves about it. (You can google her name and her blog will turn up). I found my Crypton “daria stone” fabric on the “Sailrite“ fabric website for $18/yard. They are also available at JoAnn’s fabric and Calico Corners (at higher price points for the same fabric). You can send away to Sailrite for small samples. You can also find nice Crypton fabrics on ebay at very good prices. BTW, the other hard wearing fabric maker that is often overlooked is Sunbrella. They are coming out with some wonderful indoor/outdoor everyday fabrics (at good price points on Ebay). I was surprised at how comfortable and “natural” Crypton seemed. Looking at it it would be hard to tell it was not some real linen weave. I reupholstered our old sofa with it for the basement. Then we liked it so much we used other colorways on upstairs furniture. Crypton is a fabric innovation that somehow is impregnated into the strands to produce really durable fabrics. You can find it marketed under the Crypton name, but it is also available through the top end designer fabric makers like Schumacher and Clarence House (Of course at much higher price points).
