Thanks! I love the rockers too. My parents had them and didn't like them, but I think they are super comfy. I love having them out there. The bench was made by my dad's best friend. He and his (now ex) wife had a little side company called Teddyboy's and they made all that kind of stuff. They also made that little mini wheelbarrow there in the one pic. The bench is pretty rotted by now, it's about 10 years old. I keep trying to talk Keith into redoing the seat part, but he hasn't done it yet. I just can't bring myself to throw it out though. It's got one of the first Teddyboy's brands on the back.

Wow! I am a little surprised by the comments. My home is in this vicinity, in the Putnam Heights area within walking distance of 39th & Penn, and 36th & Penn. I absolutely LOVE this area. People are friendly and totally unlike many other areas in OKC and surrounding burbs. I have neighbors whom I have become very attached to and have known now for years. I have never felt safer than here in my little house. Yes, we are nestled here among much diversity, including people, shopping, business, restaurants, and much more. It is very eclectic. We are close to the Asian District, to Western Avenue with it's tasteful little collection of antique shops and quaint restaurants, the beautiful Crown Heights district, and the Paseo Arts District, too. Very artsy, education-oriented, melting pot of cultures, folks in the vicinity of Oklahoma City University and the College of Law as well. I loved OKC Organics and the people who run the store, Mark and his wife. They are just starting out in business, very friendly and helpful, and they do hope to eventually move to a larger facility very soon, which you may know if you stopped to visit with them for a moment. Please be kind. BTW, the owners do visit this forum, too. Stinky-gardener mentioned the Sanyo 3-cup rice cooker as one of her favorite things. Same here, I use mine every week, it's such a time saver. I love the small size, used to have a 10 cup Zojirushi which made no sense when all I ever cooked was a couple cups of rice at a time. You will eat more rice if you own one of these handy little counter appliances. Another vote for Netflix, especially streaming. I also love the DVR, it remembers everything I want to record so I don't have to think about it. cooper, if you're reading this have you tried using baking soad instead of barkeeper's friend? It works the same and is much cheaper. I fill a cheap salt shaker (needs to have large holes) with baking soda I buy by the pound at Walmart and leave it out with the dish soap. One of my new favorite things is 100% Argan Oil. Not the stuff Adienne sells on HSN but the pure form that comes in a bottle. It goes on like a serum and disappears into your skin after a couple minutes, after that you can put on face cream if you need it.

I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call. I think the freezer deserves a light as well. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than Kay. I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said? I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters! Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey--but I'd bet everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time!
